Hello and welcome.

BramblePie Sun 04-May-14 13:50:51

Hello smile

louby44 Sun 04-May-14 13:53:39

I jumped and got here.

jarlin my date with MrLocal is tonight. We're going for dinner, I don't normally do a meal on a first date but he says conversation flows over a meal and I suppose he has a point. I don't get nervous on dates anymore but I hope I can eat! I like that he's from my old town! He's a bit quirky and says he has a few pairs of snakeskin trousers - I hope he doesn't wear them tonight!

My 2 DS think it's hilarious that I keep going on dates! But are very encouraging lol.

bigbird how tall are you? I'm 5'10" and only date men 6' + it is my MAIN criteria (along with distance and ability to spell coming a close second & third ).

Not seen 50 on here for ages either!

MadeMan Sun 04-May-14 14:00:28

Are snakeskin trousers on a par with mink fur coats these days?

Bigbird01 Sun 04-May-14 14:04:24

Ah, managed the jump!

Louby I'm 5'11". I will date / have dated / was married to men a little shorter than me (only an inch or so), but do feel a lot more comfortable being able to wear heels without looking down on him!!
I agree - the ability to spell, or even to be able to string together a reasonably comprehensible sentence is high on my criteria too! But at the moment, I'm not even getting the opportunity to filter on that!

neiljames77 Sun 04-May-14 14:10:35

louby44 - It might be best if you turn up a bit late for dinner tonight. Have a quick peep through the window to see what he's wearing before you go in. Or see if the other diners are pointing and laughing at someone.

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep Sun 04-May-14 14:12:34

I'm almost 5'10 and hardly ever see men taller than me. I'd be alone forever if I banned anyone under my height. Do I just live in a really short city? confused

Actually, I'm not attracted to really tall men (am I weird?)

louby44 Sun 04-May-14 14:16:26

I love tall men. Will never, ever date anyone shorter than me.

neiljames77 Sun 04-May-14 16:01:27

So am I Minime85. Especially Louby44's date with Crocodile Dundee.
If he wears tortoiseshell shoes, I wonder how long it will take him to walk to the toilet and back? <groan> Sorry. smile

Urgh i hate this!

I saw my guy Fri and sat night, left his this am. Today i log on to POF and he was online for ages sad
WHY? sad

I'll just add that i deleted my accoutn so that he knew i was only interested in him, but that i did set up a new one not as me so i can see when he's been on. I have turned into a crazy person sad

Jarlin - i am not up to speed with your story but if you like slow then i wouldnt be contacting anyone else for now. x

UrsulaBuffay Sun 04-May-14 18:11:48

Jarlin I think it's out of order yes, we can't have double standards on the thread and say men should come off sites but it's okay for us really. Sorry to say that but if he was doing it we'd be telling you to dump wouldn't we?

Odd comment today we cuddling and he made a comment about us going out ie dating he not mentioned that before

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep Sun 04-May-14 19:58:20

jesy What do you mean?

SuperFlyHigh Sun 04-May-14 20:07:53

Good luck re the talk with Slow. Obviously you know it needs to happen.

jesy that sounds interesting maybe IT guy is changing his opinion of you and maybe (it seems from your posts) that he's probably seeing you as more chilled and relaxed and hence that's why he's talking about going out properly. I think men have a 2nd sense on this sometimes.

SuperFlyHigh Sun 04-May-14 20:09:34

I am majorly pissed off - no MBB text or anything.

after going on a few messages a day last weekend etc now nothing. Damned if I'm going to initiate anything!

SuperFlyHigh Sun 04-May-14 20:11:02

also I'm tired, had a sort of disagreement with someone earlier.

not going on this date later - would be a nightmare as he is friend of a friend but he tends to lie and is a drama queen. I'm a drama queen myself (lapsed) at the best of times but I don't even fancy him. There's a spark but that's only because I'm a flirt.

jesy Sun 04-May-14 20:30:37

He never really talked about us dating.
I've been miss cool and not pushed it for both of us.
Today when I said I best go he seemed disappointed he said he'd wanted to watch a match but I was welcome to join him which had been nice couple hours more chatting n cuddles but said I should go.
