He had asked me if I fancied going out for a drink and I had said yes. Both knew we fancied each other more than a drink bit didn't knw each other well. It was April and light night, sunny but cool. We went to pub and just could not stop talking, smiling, laughing, gazing, teasing, arguing. It was magic.
Walked me home, came in for drink and we sat on the sofa until after 1 in the morning, just talking, music in background. He never tried it on. Eventually, I said 'You should go home' and he agreed. We stood in the hall and he put his jacket on. We stood. He said, smiling, 'Well. I've had a great time. Is this something you could possibly bear to do again or has it just been too awful for you?' I said I thought I could bear to do it again. We stood and he said 'Is it OK if I give you a hug and a kiss? ' and I said I thought I could possibly bear that too. We hugged and just held each other and it just felt lovely. Then we kissed, just a few short, gentle kisses and one longer very tender kiss and he said 'I really should go home now' and Iagreed. When he got home he rang me to say ' Just wanted to say goodnight' . I couldn't sleep I was so excited by it all. Just felt so good.

He is still the best kisser ever- have had lots of experience of it since first dateGrin
And, we still love sitting on the sofa or lying in bed late at night listening to music and talking and laughing and arguing.

How lovely.

We went for a walk in the sunshine, a glorious summer day. He was 15, I was 16. I took a friend with me to chaperone. We walked a little way ahead and he stopped and kissed me. The most romantic and passionate kiss.

That was 35 years ago, he is now a miserable old git.

Ah, brill!!

Sounds very much like me and Mr Meow.

We were both 18, he rang me during Feb 1/2 term, it was a Thursday. We went to the pub between our parents' houses with 2 other mates. Played a couple of games of pool, the other mates went home to "revise", we went to his mum and dad's house where they were watching a Clint Eastwood WWII film, we watched the rest of it, Mr Meow's dad gave me a glass of Bailey's.

After the film, he walked me home, and he asked me on the way if I might consider being his girlfriend. I said that yes, I would consider it. Okay, I've considered it - yes, I will.

By this time, we were in my mum and dad's back garden. We had a snog, and he walked back home.

The next day, Sunday, he came over and we snogged ALL AFTERNOON. My mum and dad had gone to York to see dad's parents - an all day affair. Then he went home for his tea!

Then we sat together on the bus to college the following Monday - it was official!!!

I've known him since I was 11, as we went to the same secondary school, and I learned after we'd been going out for about a year that my mum and his parents went to the same school, but mum was a first former when MiL was a 5th former, and she used to watch them walking around school hoping that she'd be as gorgeous (and tall) as them one day. She never did grow tall!!!

We'd both had break ups with other people and spent time on our own and then we met. There was something immediately between us. It's not like he's George Clooney- more a taller, broader Eric Cantona with a bigger nose and from Bradford! I just knew, can't explain it but I just knew it was going to be special and last. He once said to me it felt like an old, old love, that we had been here before together and had found each other again in this life. Aww!

We never really had a first date,
The first time we met up, I had been on a night out with the girls, got back home and was chatting to now dh online. He asked if I wanted to come over for a drink, I said yes so he came and picked me up, took me back to his and we talked and laughed most of the night and had our own little hot tub party Wink
Woke up the next day, agreed it would never happen again (he was a friend of a recent ex of mine at the time) 5 years later we are very happily married with a gorgeous 2 yo ds!
