any Guardian Soulmates experts out there? technical question

I am registered. If I look at someone else's profile, then hide my profile, will they know that I have looked at their profile? I think the answer is no. But I don't want to risk it.

(It sounds a bit stalk ish and weird but it's not. I just don't want someone to know I fancy them... that's all).

Thanks!

I haven't used that site so cant answer your specific question. but wanted to know how you hope to meet someone if you don't let them know you are interested.

I used another site a few years ago. I was terrified and found it excruciating, but I took the plunge and said hello to a few people. One person contacted me immediately. To cut a long story short we are getting married in september.

Be yourself but don't be too shy.

Good luck

Alright, well thanks. I will have to tell him at some point! You're right. Glad it ended happily for you!

Once you've hidden your profile they won't see it. But it's good for them to know you've looked and looking doesn't mean fancying.

I met my dh on Soulmates Grin

If your profile is hidden as PP said, they won't know, but when you unhide your profile, they might (not sure)

I have a second profile that is permanently hidden for just such reasons! It does mean you can't see the subscriber only photos, but you can have a good old nosey at as many profiles as you like. I use it to check out the local competition too. I don't want the mum I know from swimming classes to know I'm having a look at her profile! I also let my friends log in to it to check out blokes on my behalf. Wouldn't want to give them access to my real profile!

I didn't realise you could do that!! I decided the other day (on my wedding anniversary as it happens) to register on guardian soulmates. There don't seem to be many blokes near me though (I'm in suffolk)!
