Boyfriend has foot fetish!

It's not that I am that bothered by this but never come across it before! He regularly asks me if he can rub my feet and likes me to be wearing tights whilst he does it or wants me to stroke him with my feet! I didn't really think about it at first as it was always done in the heat of the moment if you know what I mean! I opened up YouTube on my ipad the other day and he had searched shoe play....? I watched a vid and it seemed a but creepy as it was someone videoing a women on a train dangling her shoes off her feet!
Not overly worried but never come across this before and find it a bit strange.

I believe it to be one of the more common fetishes. A lot of blokes like a nice shoe/foot. I wouldn't worry. Everyone's sexuality differs.

If you don't mind joining in with the footsie stuff during sex but object to him watching (getting off to?) shoe porn, then tell him. Even though he has a few kinks you're not obliged to go along with everything without question.

Also you need to think, if the relationship lasts, you need to be really comfortable with his fetish as it won't go away. So what might seem just a bit different but ok-ish now because you are in lurrve, might not be as amusing in 5 or more years time, if it is something that doesn't really float your boat - porn and tights.

If you are both instep with each other, fine, if not you should be on your toes ;-)

If anyone says 'sole-mates' I'm off.... confused

I don't think it's that uncommon. I can see how shoes could be a turn-on, but never quite got the whole 'foot' thing; though that's probably on account of the fact that my Wife's feet are like those of a Hobbit who's had bricks dropped on them (from a considerable height).

My DP is the same blush

He was actually ashamed about it when he first told me but I love it to be honest, means he plays with my feet and not in a pervy way, just a nice loving way.

You don't have to make any changes to your relationship, just depends if you're a person who doesn't like their feet being touched

If you get into it stockings and heels go well grin

Be careful. Give him an inch and he'll take a foot. Then you won't have a leg to stand on. Respect for him for talking to you. Owning up to a foot fetish is no mean feet.

It's fairly common as fetishes go.

I suppose the question is, is it something he likes to do occasionally and is he happy to reciprocate with anything slightly different that you enjoy, or is it something he needs to do every time you have sex in order for him to reach, ahem, satisfaction? If the former, not so bad...if the latter you might have a problem if you're not truly into it and just tolerating it for his sake.

Personally I'd hate it as I hate feet in general and I do NOT want my feet to be the focus of attention at any time but especially at that time!

Very entertaining reading, thank you for comments. I quite like the innocent foot play but will make sure things don't get out of hand (or foot)

Flippsy Thu 27-Mar-14 22:24:32

If you don't like it just put your foot down.

thecook Thu 27-Mar-14 22:32:15

Very common OP.

I spent almost 20 years as a maid for working girls and we got loads of clients with that particular fetish. All nationalities but Indian men seemed to be particulary partial. A lot are into high heels too. It is known as foot worship in the business.

SarahGoodwin33 Thu 27-Mar-14 22:55:34

My friend has made me chuckle. She's an air stewardess and said god forbid anyone who gets near her nylon clad feet after a long haul flight, the smell would knock someone out!
Apparently it's called transatlantic feet

KathrynJaneway Thu 27-Mar-14 22:56:44

Wish my hubby had a foot fetish, I love a good foot rub!

NurseyWursey Thu 27-Mar-14 22:57:29

DP bought me a foot spa.

I love it.

Helltotheno Fri 28-Mar-14 00:17:00

I find feet gross and can't stand to have mine touched so it would be and has been a dealbreaker for me.
But it seems to be very common so if you don't mind it, no harm.

loving all the naff foot jokes!

Innogen Fri 28-Mar-14 01:25:59

I'd appreciate a good foot rub!

I'd explore as much as I was comfortable with. Ask him what he wants, try it, and if you don't like explain this to him. Communication is key here.

Maybe offer a trade situation? Rubbing him with feet for something you like? Idk what the etiquette is in your relationship, but that offer would work quite well for us, and I'm sure I'd enjoy it as I got more involved.

my Wife's feet are like those of a Hobbit who's had bricks dropped on them (from a considerable height).

Dh, is that you?

shemademedoit Fri 28-Mar-14 06:29:16

This is brilliant news for you. Basically carte blanche to buy pretty shoes whenever you like. Win! grin

fairylightsintheloft Fri 28-Mar-14 07:50:21

ooh perfect thread for me to ask this (sorry for the hijack OP, I don't think what your SO likes is all that odd btw) My new man has a real thing about my feet apparently and wants me to give him a "foot job". Now I have no problem with the idea but not sure how to actually do it - I only have little feet and toes, can't exactly wrap them round it! Any ideas gratefully received grin

Freewheelin Fri 28-Mar-14 08:03:47

Sorry to ask, but what is an SO?

SelectAUserName Fri 28-Mar-14 08:05:49

SO = significant other.

crispyporkbelly Fri 28-Mar-14 08:06:01

My ex used to love a foot wank

EasyCompadre Fri 28-Mar-14 08:06:52

Significant other, freewheelin? Maybe?
