Dating a guy 7 years younger

I'm 34, he's 27. I reluctantly agreed to a date not expecting there to be a spark. He's a dad, which may or may not make him more mature, but I was surprised by just how much I liked him. We've seen each other a few times though it's still early days. Just wanted to hear from anyone with experience of dating a younger guy really. For no other reason than I'm a nosey cow Grin What are the pros and cons of dating a younger guy?

Lurking for cheering up purposes. For some reason I seem to be hearing about lots of men in their 40s dating girls in their 20s at the moment. Tis depressing.

I don't think that age gap is anything really- as long as you both want the same things.

I married my toyboy!- I say that tongue in cheek. I am 34 and he is 26 and we have been married 2 years now and together for 5. I was divorced with one dc when we met. We now also have a toddler son together. It's worked for us.

However before him I did have a 6 month relationship with a man who was 22 and he was a nightmare. All pubs and clubs and festivals and way too much energy and going out for me. That died a death. But I think we were just a mismatch rather than an age problem. Dh is a total home body like me.

That age gap is nothing. I got with DH of 31 years when he was 21 and I was 27 Smile

34 and 27 is nothing.

Maybe because it's the first time I've dated someone more than a couple of years younger, the age gap seems significant. I don't really think about it when we're together though which is the main thing I suppose. How did the families of your younger DP's react?

Oh it's fab! Best 80 quid I ever spent... especially when he uttered the words "you don't look 34" Grin

My bf is 16 years younger than me, together nearly 2 years. He's the most mature lovely guy I've ever dated, and it's working out just fine
