I miss him.

DH and I split in Dec.

He was emotionally abusive and the final straw was him trying to strangle me.

I moved out with DS, have been doing well. Move into my new house on Sat.

I was really stupid yesterday. I found history on the laptop of him looking at suicide sites. So I agreed to stay over.

He kept me up all night accusing me of having an affair with my boss.

So, obviously, I've done the right thing. Any (nutty) naive thoughts I had about reconciliation are dashed.

So why do I miss him so much?

Because your future hopes are dashed, it's lonely on your own. You may have had lots of good times. There's gap in your life that he used to fill!

In a similar situation to you. true to form my ex is being awful, truly vile so it makes it so much easier to move on.

It's process and in a year from now you'll feel so much happier.

Thanks louby.
I feel like I felt when I first moved out, but without the initial euphoria I felt then.

My exp is going on Friday. I can't wait. I've still got to sell the house but I don't care. I moved out of our bedroom so Friday & Saturday will be spent getting sorted, moving back into my bedroom and putting my clothes back in the wardrobes.

Knowing that I'll never here his key in the door will be heaven. Yeah, I know there will be sad times but there were sad times when he was here!

At least I can invite people back, enjoy my home again! Until I buy my next one!

Louby, well done.

I am looking forward to a quiet, clean home with no stress.

I'm not even going to give him my new address!

Fairy you will get throgh this.its normal to still miss him, hopefully once youv,e moved in nd got settled things might seem to be improving for you.are you still seeing dsd?

Fairy1303 Wed 05-Feb-14 20:04:13

Yeah I'm still seeing her but she's not great. So so confused and really just wants to live with her mum, who is still refusing to have her more than twice a week.

Maybe thats a good thing tho, obviously she is unreliable nd would harm her more emotionally.is it regular contact for you.?
