After several months going out with my lovely bf and getting to know his family (sis is lovely and a true friend now) we stayed at his Mums on Sunday night as we were out with some of his work friends nearby and both wanted to drink.
Overall she has been accepting of me in that I am a transsexual and apart from the odd tricky conversation (some of them documented on here...) things are ok with us.
We both had to work yesterday so we had both of our cars there and I had packed in rather a hurry the day before and forgotten a couple of things! Anyways he left at 7 to go to London and I needed to leave at 8 so after bringing me a cup of tea she left me to getting ready. This is when I discovered that I had forgotten tights and clean knickers!
I didn't want to mention it so I went downstairs feeling bare legged and thanked her for letting me stay.
I felt self concsious because I never normally go bare legged. I made light of it and said forgive my appearance but packed in a hurry and forgot some essentials. No sooner had i said this she said oh don't worry come upstairs a min, what do you want black becuase I may have some opaque tights.
Well the next 5 mins were spent laughing about the trials and tribulations of being a woman whilst she rummaged in her drawer for some tights and gave me a couple of pairs to choose from apologising that she didn't have more choice and that she assumed I wouldn't want her support tights....! There was something special about feeling so accepted as a woman and be treated like one of her own daughters
Its difficult for anyone not in my position to understand this but it is moments like that that make me feel so happy and complete!
