Anyone mature enough to be familiar with the TV cop series NYPD Blue where I first fell for David Caruso will remember the Captain gave his update every morning then sent the station out with 'let's be careful out there'.

...and FUSSY wink

Bant Fabulous news about Cheshire grin I'm quite impressed that you alpha maled someone out of the way without being offensive! She sounds great.

I took a couple of days to think about the thing with Oil Rigger, and I found that I genuinely missed talking to him. I'm going to give it another go, because he seems in so many ways exactly what I'm looking for and I do enjoy his company. Plus, he has clearly had the "oomph moment" and I'd like another chance. Just because there wasn't a thunder strike on first meeting doesn't mean there isn something there, right?

One thing I am a little concerned about is that he is catholic, and I am a garden variety Christian. What are everyone's thoughts on different or conflicting religions in relationships?

RafaellaNhaKyria Fri 31-May-13 00:10:32

David Caruso in NYPD Blue....that's where my infatuation started as well. I even saw that awful movie Jade.

JulietteMontague Fri 31-May-13 00:29:45

Raf same God yes? grin

Really, I think that stuff only matters if one person tries to override another or doesn't respect their views. Being able to respect the other's views but not impose anything would be the key.

Personally, I have issues with strict Catholic teaching but as long as a man doesn't jump out of bed to wash right after sex or have a Madonna/whore complex hmm try to impose that on me, I don't see an issue.

JulietteMontague Fri 31-May-13 00:33:26

Disclaimer. Any reference to jumping out of bed after sex or Madonnas and Whores is from my own limited, personal experience. Sample size 4. Ratio of ishoos to sample, 3:4 unless you add in Mother complex which would make it 4:4

RafaellaNhaKyria Fri 31-May-13 00:55:15

Same god, of course. I just personally don't agree with some catholic dogma, that's all. But, he's already told me he doesn't agree with everything the Catholic Church says or does, but that "any free thinking person would be hard pressed to find a religion they agree with every single point, and some/most of Catholicism resonates so I go with it".

Jumping up to wash after sex would be too weird. And I'm not sure how I would feel about it if he refused to have sex outside of marriage, tbh. But it's early days and none of that has come up. True to form, I'm borrowing trouble.

JulietteMontague Fri 31-May-13 01:24:17

Raf he sounds like a nice guy, I'm sure it would all be fine. It's the way someone is that counts, how they deal with stuff and that's probably more important than the brand of religion smile

ike1 Fri 31-May-13 02:16:05

What is it about washing the cock after sex then? Is it more than just personal hygiene of the foreskin? Have had this happen before doesnt bother me cos I suffer from cystitis and often like to douche unromantic for sure ...but...

ike1 Fri 31-May-13 02:20:01

Oh and forgot to say.....'I am the resurrection AND I am the light...blah de blah de blah....I miiiiiiiiiiiightttt'

WarmFuzzyFun Fri 31-May-13 06:10:54

Morning All.

Got up a little earlier to read up on the happenings. I think you guys are doing great. sorry I can't do the name call as getting ready for work but I will on the next thread which will probably spring up later today smile

Saw Lab yesterday for coffee (the drinking kind). I thought I would combust with lust. So had to drink wine in the evening to dissipate feelings/mood...Then sent him some dodgy emails and texts hmmblush

KinNora Fri 31-May-13 08:34:29

Hello Twinny, poor Lab eh ? That man is going to be sexed to death

Raf - <rubs hands> sex with Catholics, a specialist subject of mine, although I will just point out it's not some bizarre perversion it was a matter of opportunity. I've not known any of them to wash after sex, exh as I've said before had numerous ishoos with sex but that was just an outward expression of his misogyny and even he didn't do that.

Unless he's a carpet chewing fundamentalist Catholic, he'll probably be relatively normal. ( I speak as an ex-convent schoolgirl who spent many years having Original Sin rammed down my throat )

Hello everyone, have a wonderful day, and yes, be careful out there.

lubeytoobooby Fri 31-May-13 09:15:53

Hello all. I'm in my new office pretending to be vair busy and ignoring my emails. heehee grin

I have water! and coffee! double grin

lubeytoobooby Fri 31-May-13 09:35:52

and a chocolate trifle! triple grin

KinNora Fri 31-May-13 09:48:42

Blimey Lubey you're a high-powered business woman and no mistake - I'm imagining a noughties Alexis Colby-Carrington grin

MirandaWest Fri 31-May-13 09:54:55

Chocolate trifle sounds very good smile

Am in London waiting for some exam papers to mark. Exciting life I lead grin

Am getting a little nervous about meeting Mr Nice's mum tomorrow. Am worried I will do something socially unacceptable by accident. Or talk too much or not talk enough or break something.

Hopefully I am being overly pessimistic grin

JulietteMontague Fri 31-May-13 09:56:19

Good morning all!
lubey congrats on office and coffee. Made it smile

The washing after sex, very happy with that, cleanliness is lovely. Withdraw and straight to bathroom without pause, weird.

Six sleeps grin

hahaha yes I'm wearing a pair of leggings and a dorothy perkins strappy top and an entire planes worth of bags under my eyes power suit, full make up and hat. Yes. Yes I am. Channeling Joan Collins.

lubeytoobooby Fri 31-May-13 09:59:48

This is SO much better than working from home. I used to think rolling out of bed and into work was a good thing but I am liking being forced to leave the house.... and locking up and leaving work behind me afterwards.

KinNora Fri 31-May-13 10:56:56

Six sleeps Juliette how wonderful, I'm vicariously thrilled for you.

Lubey don't let light in on the magic, love.

Rather worryingly (and probably way too much TMI) I like the whole sweaty, dirty, biological, post-sex smell far too much - I am an appalling slattern.

lubeytoobooby Fri 31-May-13 11:20:26

it's ok Kin I went home and changed into my power suit and fuck me heels, put a chaise in my office, employed a hot male PA and put my e-cig in a holder. Honestly I did.

KinNora Fri 31-May-13 11:29:03

Excellent, Lubes I hope your hot male assistant is stripped to the waist and ready to do your bidding.

(I'm wearing a new jersey dress from Gap, I'm prepared to take bets on how long it will be before my mother tells me that I need a slip underneath it/she can see my knickers through it. My guess is the minute she sees me standing up )

lubeytoobooby Fri 31-May-13 13:18:43

My mum does that kind of thing too Kin, so bloody predictable. I did the classic MN 'did you mean to be so rude?' with her last comment. She got very flustered and has been nice since...

Juliette are you jetting orf again?

lubeytoobooby Fri 31-May-13 13:19:21

tell me on the next thread...
