51 and wanted to do some social stuff and do a few fun things, and hopefully make some new friends.

Anyone any experience of SPICE?

I used to be a member for a couple of years in my early thirties.

I found that the sporting activities such as the rambling and archery were great fun and had a nice bunch of people, but the evening events such as the meals attracted a large amount of what I can only describe as slightly odd people (mostly the blokes).

Holidays were great as well, a few of us went on a ski holiday as we wanted to go as a group but lived in different locations so it was a great way for some one else to do the organisation for us. Although I did once end up sharing a room on a walking weekend with a lady who snored like a donkey and thought it was a good idea to have a shower at 1.30 am Hmm

I once got taken on a first date to one of their social evenings - slightly odd and uncomfortable playing party games that involved rope and being blindfolded lol.

That aside, I would imagine the other activities are good fun Smile
