Husband off sick again

Sorry my first post is a moaning one!

My husband is off ill again, he is run down working long hours, and seems to catch every cold/illness doing the rounds. I know I should be mopping his brow, but I'm a little tired of his grumpy moods and moans and groans, about the latest illness.

It's the Easter holidays and I need to get the children out the house so he can "work from home".

Does anyone else find it annoying, but guilty for the lack of compassion?

If he has been ill with great frequency, has he had any blood tests done?

Hi, yes he has been on antibiotics 2 weeks ago, and had a full blood test. He needs to slow down at work, which is currently impossible.

DP went through a phase of catching everything a few months back, similarly through being run down through work etc. I struggled, I'll be honest, especially as I ended up taking time off work to care for DC when he should have been, and then had to do all the housework etc. And felt very guilty for struggling to be sympathetic, as he was obviously unless.

I don't have any advice, sorry, but I wanted to say you're not the only person to feel like this.

Is he taking any kind of boosting vitamins or supplements?

There's lots of talk @ the mo about vitamin D deficiency linked with low immunity, & we might have low levels after a couple of dire wet summers... Worth researching & taking a vit D supplement I'd say - I'm off to do that very thing myself now!

Thanks for the info ladies. I bought him a multi vitamin a while back from boots, so I'll check the levels for vitamin d.

We have some quiet now as he has gone off to bed to catch up on some rest whilst I'm trying to keep the children amused.
