Mates wife has left him, gone off with another man and left 8 year old twins with him.
She now says she never 'left' the dc only him and wants to sell their house and have the boys 50/50.
It is all so messy and horrible.
Her two older DC still live 'at home' with her ex but they are over 18 and i suppose they don't 'count' as children anymore.

Can she force the sale of the house?

What rights does she have when she wants the boys 50/50.

She left last October and the boys say they have cuddles in bed with her and her new DP in the mornings which cuts our friend terribly.

I don't know Jack about the law but does anyone have advice?

We have finally managed to get him to go to a solicitor this Thursday,DP is going with him as he won't cope alone.

He'll get lots if advice from the solicitor. It's good your DP is going as its hard to take in everything when you're stressed.

Search for olgaga's long post about sources of information/support for those separating or divorcing.

Get him to read up before he sees the solicitor, so that time (whether free half hour or billable minutes) can be properly focussed on the key issues, nit general fact finding.
