i don't even know where to start my dp just dragged me up by my hair because he does'nt want to look after dcs as i have just got a temporary xmas job i knew what was gonna happen he promised me would help support me as he does'nt work when i came home from the interview today he went mad saying that he wouldhave to stay in the ouse looking after dcs five days a week and that it is unfair on him and i am not considering his feelings or what he has to do so we started arguing and was getting in my face so i walked out of the room he then came running at me pushed me up against the wall screaming at me and pulling my hair its not the first time has done this i am so stupid for letting him back butmy problem now is i know i need to get out but i start my new job tomorrow and really want to do it but i also want to leave just go he has gone out and said hewill be back later please help me i don't know what to do.

Call the police, he has assaulted you.
Look at the Women's Aid website for good advice.

thank you this is the first job i have had for two years after looking after dcs and really want to do it do you think i should just forget it and just run to my mums?

no my mum lives nowhere near me leaving tonight would mean a four hour drive.

no havent got much family around which is why i was relying on dp to look after dcs i'm just so messed up right now i have three options stay for a month and do job leave or call police the last two means i won't be able to work.

Call the police! My STBXH was emotionally, mentally, verbally and financially abusive. When it got to the point that I called the police it changed the whole dynamic! He knew the minute he started I just had to pick up the phone!

However, I dont think I was ever in physical danger. It is vital that you report this assault. If it was a stranger you wouldnt hesitate!

Dont be afraid. Call them.

i know i'm dragging my heels i haven't called the police! the last time it happend i called womansaid and have been talking to someone about moving but can't get hold of her atm.
