Please if you can help me!!!! if you start typing in the main box on the computer and if you type for example "white ..."and it gives you suggestions does it mean that something user was typing so it is familiar?
Not sure did i express my self proplerly?||?

No, don't think so. Presume you mean in google? Think it suggests sites that are most popularly searched for.

Yes, it does mean the user was searching for this or it can be a site name. But it doesn't mean that it was used regularly, just recently, i.e. it could have been searched just once in the last two weeks, but will still pop up with other suggestions that were more often used.

Depends on browser settings, i think. Sometimes the searches are saved, easy way to test that would be to search something completely random, close the browser and see if it comes up when you search it again.

It just gives you a list of the most popular searches for all users, once you start typing.

Not what has been searched on your machine.

If you look at the drop down list before you start typing that may give you a list of recent searches

google is slightly different as it can suggest generally popular sites (but nothing obscure) as bring says, but if it's their usual front page of the internet provider (say TalkTalk with google feature on it) then it's really what the user searched.

Norma, when i type in my main TalkTalk page, it only suggests what i used before, in alphabetical order. But if i open Google page as such then it's what you say. So it depends on settings.

I've just typed 'xau' in google search and it's given 10 suggestions of words/sites I haven't previously searched for or visited.

What's freaked you out? If you can be a little more explicit - say, give the first 3/4 letters of whatever site seems to you may be visited regularly by someone or someones, we can put them in the search box and compare results.

Hm can it be that certain percentage of population is searching for adult entertainment???
When i type for example "white ...." it gives me underneath search result suggestion and "white bread....." but if i deleate my history it wont come anything which it has any conection to the bread!!!
Not sure do i make any sense....
I am just so angry at P that i had a major storm and now he is making lemon tea...
didn't say a word!
I am really fuming! it's a mix of anger,disapointment ,sadness and i guess relisation that finaly i ahad to master internet not only to mumsnet and DM[SHOCK].

It made me upset that while i am running to work ,picking up kids from two different schools,doing homeworks and making sure everything is done he is entertaing himself.
I am soooooooooooo angry that i wouldn't be able to fill whole universe with my anger ......How he dares to be so careless?????

Surprising result! Typing 'free sexy', which happen to be words I haven't previously into the google search box, didn't give any suggestions but took me to Super JuniorSexy, Free & SingleMusic Video - YouTube and variations of the Korean singer's song.

If you're getting something materially different, it would suggest that those two words have previously been searched in anticipation of somewhat different results.

Do you mean words that come up before you press 'enter' - on my computer (using google and firefox) it come up with terms I've previously searched.
