I know I know we're still in September but I need some ideas. My bf and I are unable to be together on Xmas day due to different family commitments so we want to book something really special and romantic for new year staying in London. NOT a club! Any ideas?

Last New Year we went to a swanky hotel which did a New Years meal and dance thingy (with fireworks and champagne at midnight). It was so nice, we dressed up proper, sparkly frock and bow ties, and had such a fab time we're doing the same this year instead of buying pressies.

Thames River boat - posh dress, dinner, dancing and moor up alongside Big Ben for the chimes and fire works?

Both lovely suggestions! Sammy, was that in London?

No, it was in Sweden but I would imagine that lots of hotels do similar things. Quick google search bought up this list of London venues:

And if you really want to push the boat out:

New Year at the Ritz :o
