He came to see the 2 boys today. He hasn't taken them out yet, only been a week but still. He was talking about my ds1 signing on JSA and I made a flippant comment about me being told it will take 4 weeks to process my claim for income support! He started going on about how I would made of money and why did I need to claim income support with all the other benefits I get Hmm OK so I will have a bit more than your usual non working single parent but that is because both boys have SN. He just kept saying I was loaded, I told him I had £30 to last till a week on Tuesday, to which he told me "tough, you should have managed your money better! Don't be looking at me, I haven't got anything to give you!" He has already told me he will not be paying maintenance as I "get enough money" he then left.
An hour later he turned up with an Xbox for ds2 that he had just bought from a friend Shock he said it was his birthday present (ds2's birthday is 28th July!) when ds asked him to help him set it up he said no he was off to the pub!
I am so bloody angry, I am having to borrow money from my mum to buy food! Can't afford to put petrol in my car, can just about put electric in the meter and he is off to the fucking pub for the third day on the run Angry

Get in touch with the csa. Its none of his business how much you get in benefits.

Thats just it. He is self employed and only has an official income of £3800 so would only need to give £5. I know earns more just can prove it as it is all cash in hand jobs Sad
I will be looking to back to work but for the time being I am on benefits, There is no way around me needing a term time only job due to not being able to get childcare.
I think he is jealous to be honest!

I might have to. Thing is the only thing he does with his money is drink and gamble so it's not like he has a posh car or nice clothes, he just spends on nothing!

At least its confirmation that you did the right thing splitting up with him as he is proving to your boys that he's an arse that wont support them. I would still get in touch with csa though.
