Many congratulations. Frame it, hang it in the loo, and break out the Wine Grin

Flush it down the loo and break out the Wine surely?

Don't flush it down the loo! You'll need it to prove to businesses etc that you're divorced.

Hooray!! So pleased for you :)

How are you celebrating?

Was it as quick as it seems? I posted the form yesterday and guess it will take about a month, am I being unnecessarily pessimistic?

Pie, was filed last Thursday and came back today. Hope yours will be just as quick.

Cheers everyone! (putting glass of wine to lips now)

I've been divorced for 10? (9? 11?) years and I've never been asked for proof yet. Which is lucky because I have no idea where the bit of paper is.

I have been divorced 10 years and only once was I asked for proof, I can't remember by whom possibly the bank, to justify my use of my maiden name. When I said that I never changed my name to my ex husband's so there had never been a name change they still insisted that they needed to see the document. I asked to see their line manager in order that someone in a senior position could explain why I had to provide evidence to show that I was entitled to use the same name I had used since birth. That shut the jobsworth up. Harrrump.....(hoists ample bosoms up with folded arms...)

Mine came in the post yesterday...was pronounced on April 26th so I didn't even know until a week later!! I feel slightly cheated to have been unknowingly single for a week, but I know it's not really that important in the bigger picture :)

it's a great feeling:) I've just celebrated my first anniversary as a free woman - nice to have a new date to remember.

I was having a lovely day at an art gallery a few months ago - glass of wine, nibbles, enjoying a day off and my own company.... when I suddenly remembered it would have been my 25th wedding anniversary that day - and I'd totally forgotten - I think I might have moved on (very grateful to the OW) Grin

congratulations all!

Spring hang in there. Took me two very long years to get Absolute, because exH wouldn't hand over financial info.

Cats so glad for you. I too am grateful to the OW, got my life back. Found out lots of things about myself over the last couple of years. I am strong and can now do what I want for me and my boys.

Finally got to celebrate my Absolute with the new man last night. Was lovely.

Well done Mum. Worth celebrating! I am not holding my breath for my stbx and the financial info either. He is already trying to move the venue of the first hearing! Delaying tactics.

I'm starting off as I mean to go on and having a drink with "the girls" on Nisi nightSmile. I am going to build up from there with a celebration at every stage.
