Helped me a lot OP...especially through the first amazingly painful 6 months. Simple, common sense, straight to the point reading with a caring 'mindful of your pain' edge. My head was already mashed and it was just what I needed. A good few useful exercises to do too. CD helped bring it all together.

I bought it for a friend and she said it helped hugely.

It took going to 4 shops but I found it and went straight to the park and sat and read it right the way through. I then listened to the CD in the car and then came home to talk to DH. Feeling better. Scared. Hopeful. Despondant in that I can't trust myself but I am hoping for the best. Reading the book was quite surprising as lots of it really fitted with how I have been feeling.

Is it available on cd? Didn't see it on amazon and don't have the strength to read a whole book.

There is a CD with it. With the I can make you thin cd and book I haven't looked at the book yet but have listened to the CD and it has helped/worked. With the heart book I read it all in a day today and then listened to the CD and found the book helped more. Probably because I was sat in the car listening to the CD and couldn't relax enough. I would try and read the book as it honestly isn't heavy going.
