Podcast app recommendations please

I used to have the Sounds app but my Kindle Fire tablet has died and because I am Overseas I cannot download that again to my new tablet.

Could anyone recommend an app, I mainly listen to BBC podcasts.

The BBC iplayer radio app is still available and can be used overseas. Maybe try that?

Ooh, I didn't know that. I wonder if I can fake my location and use the iPlayer rather than Sounds in the UK?

Yes, I liked it better than Sounds. It seemed much easier to find things - both specific things and just browsing.

I thought that the BBC had decommissioned the old radio player but that might only be in the UK. I preferred the old one to Sounds too.

@pippistrelle thank you. I had no idea that was still available, I used to use that when I was back in the UK and then I had to go to Sounds. Have downloaded it and had forgotten how good it was.
