Bunting, underpants and money.

No problem, Gabrielle. I'm reserving my hard stare for the likes of grumiosmum casually sitting around on the last thread chatting while post 990 passes by... Angry

Mike - what's the underpants reference?

Will there be a prize for the 100,000 post?

I don't know, Bore - you're the one with the crystal ball. Grin

The 🔮 can be very selective in what it chooses to reveal. It is a law unto itself!

Thanks DDD. I was contemplating volunteering to set up the new thread, but then I realised that we would go over 1000 posts with me asking how to link to it (again Grin ), plus we would have gone well over by the time I thought of any kind of witty title.

I was at work earlier. Just catching up now. George unexpectedly turned up with a new game when the last lot of money went missing, didn't he? The one Alf took the blame for. I can't remember if it was a computer game or something else.

I like Leonard.

And if Susan can keep her mouth shut, boop for Susan.

Can I just say, DDD in defence of Grumio’sMum that if you are using the mobile site on iPhone it doesn’t give any indication of post count on a thread so most of us never have any idea what number of posts we have got to. In fact I’ve often wondered how you keep track and whether you MN from a desktop.

Threads in “I’m on” have a number listed against them but that is only the number of posts since you last opened the thread.

Fair enough, Jessie. I probably should have made it clearer that as well as hard stare my tongue was firmly in my cheek. Grin

But how DO you keep count?

Report
DadDadDad · 01/05/2019 21:46

I'm mainly on the desktop, but on my phone (android), it shows the total post count.

If you asking how I know that we are coming up to 100,000 posts, that's down to a spreadsheet that I've maintained for the last five years Blush where I note the total posts as each thread is succeeded by the next.

Someone's underpants have also gone missing, from their washing line. It was mentioned tonight when Susan was talking to Clarrie.

It seems pretty obvious it's George who nicked the money, as he's suddenly got a new game that he'd been told he needed to save up for.

Isn’t is amazing how quickly new people get assimilated into families in Ambridge? Leonard has hardly known Jill five minutes and already Leonard is scampering around in the attic with Freddie.

I loved Fred and Len. I think for Freddie he opened up a bit because he knew that Len was a trusted quantity because endorsed by Jill, and Len felt that it was OK for him to talk to Freddie like that because he is getting closer and closer to Jill, but at the same time he came without all the prior Archer knowledge that might have made him too close to the family to advise impartially. Plus Freddie probably enjoyed having a kindly grandfather figure to talk to.

It probably helps that Leonard appears to have more emotional intelligence than the entire Archer family put together.

Thanks for the new thread. Looking forward, as always, to the wild MN partying when we reach the next milestone. 🎉🎉🎉

Tentative BOOP for Freddie and his new best friend. I like this strand of showing the heir LL through new eyes. Just wish the script could be less stilted / flat / predictable.

Thanks for the new thread DDD - I'd have volunteered to make a new one but I'm a semi-lurker so I didn't think it was my place.

I really liked that talk between Leonard and Freddie. It made me feel much better disposed towards Freddie. He can be quite sensible when he calms down and stops acting like Rik Mayall in The Young Ones.
