Archers

We're still here and still discussing TA (The Archers). We welcome newcomers and old hands, so if you have a question or a point of view, please dive in. No spoilers - if you've seen info on future storylines, there's a separate Radio Addicts thread for that.

I loved all the name changes on the last thread. Don't forget to change back! (If you want to).

Who's going to get Russ out of LL? Freddie? Lily? Elizabeth? Or is it Freddie who will head off?

I should add that Bruce Lee definitely is in a frame, and anyone who disagrees can take their blu-tack and... Shock

Natasha and Tom in last night's episode were nauseating to listen too, and seriously does anyone actually talk to their other half like that????

As the originator of the blu-tack vs frame debate (I am Team Frame) I am very pleased to see that it has made it into the thread title! I will be changing my name back now we are 101 though, I am still getting confused when people on other threads call me Jazzer!

Oh God, Russ is just awful. Surely Elizabeth has to see that.

I can't really understand how in a place like Ambridge and as gossipy Lee can have no idea of Helen's past.

Well, Lee doesn't live in Ambridge. Even more of a stretch, Natasha didn't seem to know anything about Helen's past (until Susan told her) even though she was marrying Helen's brother!

I think Lee should get together (and have a baby) with Kirsty. They are much better suited (K wouldn't mind the blu tack) and I can't bear the thought of feisty Kirsty settling for dull Philip and his conservatory.

That's a bit aggressive, R^3, I thought one could only facepalm oneself?! Shock

Lee and Kirsty - I can see that, although it will make for future awkwardness with Helen. Especially if Kirsty gets round to telling Lee about the night Helen stabbed Rob...

Phew, caught up this morning with all the episodes and found we have a new thread. Loving Kate getting home truths all round and Peggy's arch manipulation skills

I've checked with teen DD and she has disowned me demonstrated a face palm and I am mortified to discover D^3 is right. I would slink off and name change but am comforted by the knowledge that if I were cool, I wouldn't be an Archers addict Smile

Checking in to the new thread, will be back later but maybe under a different name. Trying to decide whether to go back to my previous one (about 4 or 5 years old) or try something new. Don’t really want to stay as Kate though.

Have Kirsty and Lee actually met?

Well OBVIOUSLY!! (See my name which I quite fancy keeping for a bit)

...I'd adopt my best Bruce Lee fighting position to physically punch assure @RevokeRemainRebuild that MN TA fans are in fact VERY cool, but then I read their name and decided I like them too much for violence Wink*

Thanks for the new thread D^3.

Is Lee in rented accommodation? Surely he wouldn't be allowed blu-tack.

I was wondering if the SW became aware of the great frame / blu-tack debate, how would they weave an answer into the dialogue?

Emma: We were so sorry to hear that you won't be doing karate classes anymore. We clubbed together to get you this Bruce Lee poster as a leaving present...

Lee: That's so kind. I'll definitely get this framed to go up with my others.

Hmm

Living with Peggy might do Kate some good.

R3 and D3 you can facepalm yourself, but when the action is performed on another person it is known as a spam^.

Now that is cleared up, thank you for the new thread and excellent title.

Unlike a pp, I thought Natasha and Tom sounded exactly like a couple and actually in a funny way endearing. I think the case was good for a bigger house for entertaining was good, but I am horrified by Tom's throwaway comment at the end indicating this particular place may be a bit too expensive. I can't comment on CMR because I'm trying very hard not to think about it.

DadDadDad · 23/03/2019 21:07

Spiritual - have you got a source for that? I've just spent a fascinating few minutes (not being sarcastic) reading the wikipedia article on facepalm, but I can't find anything on the use of the word spam that you suggest - it's only the "unwelcome email" definition I can find. (Or is that the joke you are making?)
