Article in the Guardian by Rabia Choudry
I know several others here have been following this case.
I've not listened to all the last Undisclosed podcast yet - just starting on it this evening.

Goodness, I knew that the decision was coming up but didn't know that another trip date had been set. I hope that the right perpetrator/s are identified.

That should be 'trial'. Apologies if none of the above makes sense, I am beyond exhausted today!

I didn't realise either.
Just noticed today that I had a podcast sat there waiting since July 4th.

So much else has been happening I had forgotten to keep checking on the decision so I was thrilled to catch up with this at the weekend. Such a terrible miscarriage of justice - not just for Adnan but also for Hae whose real killer has not answered for that awful crime.

Surely also must be an enquiry into the behaviour of the Police who basically made up their mind who the culprit was and built a case to fit him, ignoring all else.

I was gripped by Serial but it was Undisclosed who really made the case clear for me.

I've not listened to the Undisclosed podcast but absolutely loved Serial - it was very well done.

I am still not sure what I think about Adnan and Jay though. Two points still worry me.

  1. Jay knew where Hae's car was.
  2. The mobile phone appeared to be in Linkin Park on the evening Hae was killed.

I don't think he killed her. I'm not sure whether Jay did. I do think Jay either disposed of the body or knows who did.

Luna if you listen to Undisclosed both those points are explained in excellent detail along with many others. It is highly likely that the Police knew where the car was before Jay 'showed' them and that the mobile phone evidence is discredited. I don't think Jay had anything to do with the murder or disposing of the body.

It's all a massive mess, isn't it? The police screwed up all along by never speaking to the girl who said she'd talked to Adnan in the library, and his lawyer was equally dreadful. Poor guy.

I think of all the theories, the one about the serial killer recently released from jail holds most water but after so long we'll probably never know. It must be awful for Hae's family.

I dont know, her new boyfriend Don was never looked in to properly and his time sheet was provided by his dms girlfriend and not on his payroll number. He said that he was covering for a member of staff, but all staff that were on the rota were in.

Even if he was guilty life plus 30 for a 17 year old is just to much.

I have listened to serial, undisclosed and I have started the audio book. I have also started undisclosed series 2 and I am really enjoying that one.

You definitely need to listen to undisclosed. I'm also loving season 2. I don't think Jay had anything to do with it, I think he was set up by the police to frame Adnan.

I've just downloaded the book from audible.

Ive got about half an hour left on the audio book.

It will be intresting to see if the state will take it back to trial. Jay has given yet another time line in a press interview, with a midnight burial time which had to be changed to fit in with the levidity evidence but which doesnt fit the phone pings.

I think he will be offered a plea deal, where he is let out on time served.

I dont think Jay or adnan had anything to do with it. If Jay had been tried for murder as an 18 year old he would have faced the death penalty, thats a pretty big reason to throw adnan under the bus.
