I'm expecting some nice conversations about eggs.

Most apt thread title. Thank you. Lots of talk about increased no of listeners/higher ratings but I think no bugger's taken any notice of those of us who've stopped listening after many years.

nelson its worse they think we are too MC for DA. Boils my piss.

However the one line at a time is keeping me amused. If anyone fancies popping over we could do with some more inspiration.

I was thinking of the missing curtain cash. I'm sure there must be some other ones.

Thank you Pseudo.

I'd like to know how Josh's & Phoebe's A level revision is going, whether Kate's yoga retreat is up & running, how Adam & Ian are & what is going on with William & family.

Just in case is script writers are wondering.

Thanks, Pseudo.

In other news, I asked MNHQ if anything is happening on our 50th thread celebratory emoticon suggestion. Olivia has posted on that thread to plead school holidays, so maybe watch this space later in the week!

Here's the thread I'm talking about for those wondering what I'm talking about:

Sunday morning ruined ...

I'm usually quite happy to have the film on in the background recapping what I've heard during the week. Just can't face today. All Ambridged out.

Thanks for the thread.

Long ago I was looking forward to hearing about Kate's yurts, among other plots which have faded from mind, and which I've given up on. TA made me care about these things, then just discarded them.

The new listeners won't know or care about many of the characters and backstory, as there just hasn't been enough air-time to spare for anything much besides Hell/Knob.

Report
AugustaFinkNottle · 10/04/2016 10:27

I agree about following other plotlines, but I do want to hear some reaction from other people, particularly the relatives and those who have some dirt on Knob.

And the mystery arsonist - what's going on there?

Report
LyndaNotLinda · 10/04/2016 10:38

Another thread! :o

For the first time ever, I am not listening to the film this morning. Can't bear to go through all that again and ruin my lovely sunny Sunday morning.

So you're listening for me as well now!

Report
Gruach · 10/04/2016 10:44

The arsonist story appears to be SOC's 50th anniversary celebration of a mystery arsonist story in 1966!

(The culprit then was found to be Polly's father - shortly before she married Sid.)

Listening to the omnibus I wondered whether Jane Austen had become a SW. Patbot's declaration that she should have trusted her instinct, had never liked Knob sounded spookily like Mrs Bennett after the discovery that Mr Wickham had eloped with Lydia...

Great title Pseudo! Small - I can barely keep up with this thread let alone take part in another one. I haven't visited AIBU for weeks. Hmm, maybe that's a good thing.

Thanks for the new thread 🤗

I too am hoping for an Archers episode to be an Archers episode. Are the pastured hens laying? Is the henhouse rebuilt? Did Ed get his certificate? Where's Jazzer? So many questions... 😱

Hi, delurking, but can I be really lazy and ask for an update? I haven't listened since Tuesday because I couldn't bear too - I heard the episode where Henry was questioned, but nothing since.

I too am interested in what's happened to Kate's yoga retreat, and the A level revision! And in whatever Lynda's got going on darling.

De lurking to say I've just thrown a tea towel at the radio.

Hopefully countryfile this evening will take a more responsible approach to domestic abuse in rural communities.
