Thanks for the new thread. Great title.

Did anyone enjoy the CA comment before last night's episode? Something like "Rob's doing porridge but who is the prisoner?" Smile

I've just caught up with the last couple of threads after foolishly having a fortnight's holiday. Can't believe how fast they moved!

Thanks for this one, Pseudo. And thanks to you and Gruach for the title.

Thanks for the new thread :)

I love the CA comments Dad3, particularly afterwards as I don't think they're scripted

I can't bear listening to Eddie taking advantage of Oliver and Caroline's generosity.

Helen showed Rob how she made cheese just after she was first pregnant and he was going on then about how she'd have to take it easy.

Thank you PseudoStar

(Does this mean I'll have to start reading Game of Thrones?)

I find the "comedy" yokel storylines incredibly tedious. You just know that as soon as Eddie comes up with some utterly stupid idea he's going to put on that wheedling voice and we will have to plough through the inevitable progression over several episodes as the scheme goes "hilariously" wrong. Only it's never, never, in the least amusing.

Yes - and there's alnost an element of 'oh what can you do, what a lovable rogue'. Which is extremely condescending because if he was considered 'posh' people would just be angry with him

If Oliver and Caroline saw the burglary damage on the webcam, won't they spot the rather large group of cows out of the window?

Ed has a good relationship with O&C and is often trying to do the right thing at the moment and Eddie just keeps riding roughshod over it.

Eddie reminds me of the Bolter in Nancy Mitford's novels (can't remember precisely which one and appear to have lost most of them in a house move so can't check.) The Bolter is mother to one of the main characters, and is known as the Bolter as she bolts from one man to another. Her daughter is describing the latest love of her great friend, and saying that this time, she thinks she's finally found The One. And the Bolter replies 'Dulling, one always thinks that. Every, every time.'

Which is Eddie really.

Brilliant title!

I too am finding it hard to listen to Eddie take advantage of Caroline and Oliver. It must be so mortifying for Clarrie.

Thanks for another thread.

I've been wondering who is making the cheese. By now he must have dreamed up some government health warning that says you shouldn't make cheese while PG.
If he's making it - and that must have been why he insisted on learning the process - then he will have found some cheaper non-organic ingredient.
