New thread for the beginning of the pheasant season.

Panzee Fri 06-Dec-13 13:46:58

Bye bye old thread!

LondonMother Fri 06-Dec-13 10:37:11

Or even new thread, sigh.

LondonMother Fri 06-Dec-13 10:36:51

Off to the old thread soon - terrific title! Just caught up with the last two days of TA, though, and I see my hopes have been dashed. Surely, however, after last night's debacle Darrell will have the decency to crawl off into the woods and never be heard of again? Couldn't Ed have shot him instead of Baz? An opportunity missed.

BitOutOfPractice Fri 06-Dec-13 10:09:46

Thank you for saving me from myself Psuedo!

ZeroSomeFestiveGameThingy Fri 06-Dec-13 10:08:44

"Hurray - Turkey pluckers and plucky Tuckers have new Mumsnet members!"

PseudoBadger Fri 06-Dec-13 10:07:05

BitOutOfPractice Fri 06-Dec-13 10:03:39

Quick - someone start it before I do with the gauche enthusiasm of an incomer - like Sabrina sweeping the board at the Flower and Produce

ErrolTheDragon Fri 06-Dec-13 10:01:44

>Is that too long?

yes, TBH grin - R4 has it.

ZeroSomeFestiveGameThingy Fri 06-Dec-13 09:55:58

(In honour of new daughters everywhere...)

ZeroSomeFestiveGameThingy Fri 06-Dec-13 09:53:29

"Forget the plucky Tuckers (now Brenda"s gone) what will 2014 offer the turkey pluckers granddaughters?"

Is that too long?

ZeroSomeFestiveGameThingy Fri 06-Dec-13 09:34:30

R4 Do you renounce your flounce?

Will your radio be permanently turned to the correct station at the correct times? (IPlayer accepted everywhere....)

Will you provide regular reasonable excuses for accidentally missing AMEX?

(Can we talk secretly in code about the other programme?)

If yes to all above I will throw in a vote. Just to tempt you back.

ppeatfruit Fri 06-Dec-13 09:03:23

Yes I 2nd BitOutOf's suggestion for the next title.

Minimammoth Fri 06-Dec-13 08:29:29

BitOutOfPractice Fri 06-Dec-13 08:08:03

Pseudo I realise I'm an incomer on this thread á la Sabrina Thwaite, but please can I beg you to use R4's suggestion for the next title.

ppeatfruit Fri 06-Dec-13 07:49:53

There is a dearth of available 'nice' men in Amb. It's normal when a 'certain age' is reached though isn't it?

TheSparklyPussycat Thu 05-Dec-13 23:06:55

The way to Jim's heart is through scone baking, isn't it? Perhaps he's only just sampled one of Jill's <fnarr> and can now compare with Christines's.

BitOutOfPractice Thu 05-Dec-13 22:57:57

R4 that is GENIUS!

Gigondas Thu 05-Dec-13 22:40:03

I know mh issues are hard but Darrell would try patience of anyone, even apparently st Shula.

Bluestocking Thu 05-Dec-13 21:37:33

I think she's resisting Jim because A Relationship would interfere with her dogging schedule. She's the toast of the Borchester bypass, you know.

PseudoBadger Thu 05-Dec-13 21:34:36

Yes she's more of a no strings girl grin

Bluestocking Thu 05-Dec-13 21:31:39

I think Auntie C is absolutely gagging for it, ppeat! shock

ppeatfruit Thu 05-Dec-13 21:17:32

I don't reckon that Auntie cardboard is up for a 'relationship' though or maybe it's Jim who isn't up for a relationship with Christine fgrin bluestocking

Bluestocking Thu 05-Dec-13 20:42:17

"Phil was the official Ambridge brain"!
True, Zero, but what a terrible state of affairs!
I hope much-nicer-Jim isn't going to two-time poor old Auntie Cardboard. That would make a great AIBU - the LTB crew would have a field day!

R4 Thu 05-Dec-13 19:12:03

What about "they're not plucky Tuckers, they're turkey pluckers' sons"

<forgets, momentarily, that she has flounced>

Shallishanti Thu 05-Dec-13 19:10:01

wow....what about Shula then?
