Is anyone else still sniggering with me at sunday's melodramatic plot turn? Grin

And did anyone else hear David crying 'Fenton! FENTON! Oh Jesus Christ'? WinkGrin

The writing's really been ... odd recently, hasn't it? Ponderous and many many out-of-characterisations.

Very odd and the background crowd screaming noises weren't right somehow.

The Amy storyline needs to be wrapped up.

Go away back to your little village life!.... AMy realises what a silly fool she has been and how awful/spiteful she's been... runs back to vicarage and apologises hugely to Usha and Alan... Chris celebrates getting his wife/house and bathroom back!....life goes on! dum dee dum dee dum dee dum....

I listened to Sunday's episode on the bus on the way to work on Monday morning; for the first time ever someone asked me to turn the sound down as apparently all that shouting was disturbing them. I was mortified!
Waiting impatiently for the Amy/Carl resolution.

This is what happens when you get an Eastenders producer in Ambridge. I never thought I'd be hoping Vanessa Whitburn would come home...

Woo! Hoo! I actually sheered when he called her naive!!! Ha! Ha! Grin

Nah not a scritpwriter... just standard story telling... isn't it! Wink

Now I'm awaiting in anticpation for the Humble Pie eating (a whole bakery full for Amy!!!)

and...

"Dad... Usha... I'm really sorry for being such an arse over this whole Carl thing" Blush

However ... don't think those words will be as probable as my first prediction! Grin

bea · 19/06/2012 21:13

ooops... 'cheered'... not 'sheered'!!

oooh yes, I would like to hear her telling Rochelle, and, however much she grovels to Alan and Usha I still think they should encourage her to move out.
I did wonder if she was going to tell Carl she was 'with child' though Grin

I'm wondering if the lovely house in the best part of Borsetshire will get her all stalky on them & she'll actually get worse now Shock maybe she'll kidnap the daughter! (that would be good EE storyline, along with the farm thugs)

Report
bea · 20/06/2012 10:35

Ladies! Ladies! This is Ambridge... not Albert Square! (although it might feel like that at times!).... Shock

there'll be no kidnapping, no stalking but... she might tell Rochelle... as this might stir things up with Usha... you know the Lawyer connection and all! with the current climate will not be surprised... the more opportunity for more screaming and crying... Grin

However ... if they remember that this is The Archers and Radio 4... AMy will realise that she's been a complete biatch! apologise and remember that she is indeed a vicar's daughter, a grown sensible young lady and go back to delivering babies... Smile

I haven't completely caught up with the omnibus yet, but has anyone ever explained how a supposedly happily married man happens to have a bachelor flat in Borchester?

Songbird · 20/06/2012 11:14

Ding dong! Finally Blamey's anger will be aimed at the person who deserves it! She's right - what a bastard! LOVED that though, everything he said was bang on! And you bea - spooooooky!

Ponders · 20/06/2012 11:58

when she stalked the bachelor flat he wasn't there, Corgi, so maybe he just borrowed it?

Ben finding the savaged sheep was funny. 'Wow, Mrs Snell's beast must be very fierce.

Also enjoyed Ruth's Britain's Got Talent moment the other day: 'oooh, Ben, have ye seen me keys?' and I had the 'where me keys' song translated into Ruth-speak going round my head all day.

Ooh ben, have ye seen me keys?
Oooh Josh, have ye seen me phone?
I'm in that situation where I lost me keeys and I've lost me phone
oooooh nooooo.
