Believe it or not I have been listening to the Archers for years and years.
I just dont always remember who is called who.
So that one who is with one of the Grundy brothers... why do you reckon she is getting all jittery about the thought of another baby?
Is it because she is enjoying a bit of freedom now Jake and Mia are a bit older?
Or is there something else?

Has she not told the Sullen One that she got her tubes tied after Mia?

Just wondering really.
I remember when she first turned up - she was made out to be some gold digging wench. The BBC boards were bizarre. She was a single parent therefore she was up to No Good.

I haven't really listened much this week. In fact I missed part of the omnibus trying to sort out DS and his revising - there's maternal love for you.. So I may be off base but ...

I don't blame Nic for getting jittery about babies. Willyum didn't say "I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you. Let's celebrate our love by having a child together." I think she saw through the (unspoken) though-process that was "my *&$^ing brother has a newborn. I am jealous. I am jealous of his happiness. I am still jealous about the ex. I am jealous about missing out on Clarrie's attention. I want one, just to put his nose out of joint, and I want it now." Nic, and her needs and wants, didn't figure in his calculations at all.

Oh yeah deffo Will is jealous. I wasnt sure if Nic had worked this out yet though.
She just seemed to react very oddly to the whole thing.

I was wondering about this! I have missed loads recently. I didn't hear the conversation about babies between Will and Nic, but did here the awkward exchange at Clarrie's birthday gathering. All is now clear.

Agreed, BBB. There are thoughtless gaping holes in motivation and plotting these days. Or was it ever thus, and I'm only noticing now because I enjoy critiqueing The Archers with a nest of vipers out for VW's blood?

Will only wants a baby because Ed's got one. Nic doesn't want a baby because she's had 2 already, has a stepson part-time, has just gone back to work & loves it. I don't think there's anything sinister in that.

And I wish Clarrie had said to Eddie when he was moaning about Nic being selfish that it's not Will who has to be pregnant, give birth, have his life turned upside down. The way Eddie was going on you'd think all they had to do was pop down to the village shop...

I love Nic. I wasn't keen on her at first but I have really grown to like her. Will doesnt deserve her. Emma is just damn miserable.
