Click On! (R4, Monday afternoons)

Can anyone tell me if they ever hear trails announcing each new series ?

I sometimes listen to R4 on a Monday (though usually hear the Food programme on Sunday and with semi-religious content on Monday to fill the other half of the 1600-1700 slot, don't always switch on...

Have just (2 minutes ago) noticed that the third of the current "Click On!" series was on today, and am forever cursing R4 as they seem to trail all sorts of other shows, and BBC TV shows, or have things about the TV Licence Fee, but in years of listening I have not heard them mention "Click On!" - they mention "Material World" and that dumb Monkey rubbish (science, but with some comic element, ridiculous in name, concept, and execution, in my view)...

What's Click On? Would you recommend it?

LOL, Grendel, what do you think a NWG-recommended prog is all about? It's IT geekyness!Grin

No. I don't think I have ever heard a trailer for it. And I agree about the downwivdakidz monkey rubbish.

Well, with these trendy names, you can't tell what anything is anymore. It might have been about sex or something...

Yes, really can't be arsed with the Monkey programme. Give me Material World, which I find really handy for my work.

R4 - spot on :)

GM - sorry if it wasn't too clear. On reflction, not scientific, nearly all IT-related.

Maybe Radio 4 is "OK" with science but scared that computers will drive listeners away ???

Is there a podcast? you could subscribe to that and then you'd find out when new series started?
