DP has just said we can buy new pushchair for DC2...recommendations please! :)

As above really, I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant with DC2, we had been planning to re-use DD's pushchair, but after closer inspection its looking a bit worse for wear so DP has agreed we can buy new one

Need some suggestions though please, nothing too expensive otherwise DP might change his mind!! but obviously want one that is going to last & be easy to manoeuvre with toddler in tow...

For DD we had a Maclaren XT, which I liked as found easy to push & also good for folding down to get on buses.

Criteria for this one...needs to be useable from birth, as already said needs to be easy to manoeuvre, but wont be using public transport as much this time so doesn't necessarily have to be as lightweight as Maclaren. Does however need to fit in boot of Ford Focus. Can't think of anything else, lol, have to admit I've never been that "into" pushchairs, for DD we just had the one and not too sure how we chose that one...think we just went into Mothercare & went with what they recommended!

I love my Loola Up - it's suitable from birth as it lies flat (without a carrycot although you can get one if you want one) and can either face the parent or face forwards. It's got one handle across and is very easy to steer one handed. The seat is really comfy looking and cosy. It's more expensive than a Maclaren but much cheaper than the Quinnys and Bugaboos etc. It fits a buggy board very well apparently if you want to use one. I like the reversible seat fabric because it's like novelty value to me to be able to change it around every 6 months I've got the choco/cream one and the seat cover washes really well and the cream side has just been through it's first summer, with no stains.

It folds up smallish (umbrella style rather than flat folding) but is heavy while folded so I wouldn't fold it to get onto a bus. You can drag it along on the wheels though, folded. You can't fold it one-handed.

Don't get it from Mothercare if you choose this because they are expensive - or they were when we bought ours, they had it for £250, we got it for £218 somewhere else. Although I believe some places still have them on offer as they are being rebranded from Bebeconfort to Maxi Cosi.

Any more suggestions please? Seeing DP tomorrow night (he's away at mo) so want to present him with a couple of options so he feels he has a 'choice' in how I'm we're going to spend his money!

I love my icandy cherry

its easily pushed with one hand so I can still hold dd1s hand and push

It has a huge basket

its parent facing or it can face out

It fits in my mothers tiny car (seriously I have handbags bigger than her boot!)

you have to take the seat off to fold it so its not great for buses but I have an umbrella fold for this and you need to buy the carry cot for it to be suitable from birth

I paid £280 for just the pushchair part I didn't bother with the cosy toes (I love my buggy snuggles) but that's about £60, the carry cot is about £150 (I didn't bother with that either dd2 is 4 months and manages fine in the seat and hated the carry cot on my first buggy) the adaptors for the maxi cosi were about £25

Its not cheap but worth every penny

there was a design fault with the earlier version so if you google reviews mention these but its sorted on the newer ones
