Doubles: P&T Sport/E3 or a Jane Powertwin? Help me please.

Okay, I need to list my questions first:

What's the diff between a Sport and an e3? I don't think P&T make the e3 anymore do they?

Can the kids face each other in a Powertwin? I have seen a pic of the car seat on the front end, facing the toddler sat by the handle - can u do this with the 2 seat units or do they both have to be facing forwards when you use the actual full size seats?

Will be for a 16m old and a newborn.

Has to be tandem style as have tiny house/hallway and don't drive so pushchair is up all the time in hallway.

Have missed a gorgeous almost new bright green P&T Sport with doubles last night on a buy it now of £220 and am still absolutely gutted - love green!

Thanks in advance.

Just to warn you, I've just sold my P&T Sport due to five punctures in 11 months - apparently this is nothing said the woman in the shop where I bought my P&T inner tubes.

If you go for the P&T, buy very strong inner tubes straight away!

I actually miss it in a weird way (considering it gave me so much grief!) Much prefer my new side by side (Baby Jogger City Mini) as I can get the tow children in plus do a decent sized food shop in the shopping basket without burying the younger one

I've no idea about the Jane

I would go for the powertwin as it can face you, I think. It seems more "democratic" too somehow. No hidden baby!
Try having a play in the shop, I guess.

I don'think the powertwin gives you alot more that the P+t the front seat does not recline much and the feet dangle as the footrest is high up. The back seat does not have a much better view and the seat is a bit of a crotch dangler for a new baby as it slops down a bit. It is not stable when pushing and is rather a beast when folded.
The P+T has its annoyances too but I would have it over a powertwin. Baby actually has a very good view of you when they are underneath as looking straight up at you. It does not let both children lay down to sleep but I don't think there is a tandem that does.

Size wise a nipper 360 is not much bigger that a P+t and folds down quite small. If I were walking everywhere with the age gap you are talking about I would prefer this.

Try an nipper to see if it will fit in your hall
MUCH better than a P&T imo, dont know anything about Jane tho

The jane two seats are fixed forward facing so the baby will only rear face in a car seat, the front seat reclines just enough for a nap but have heard problems of children putting their feet in the front wheel.

I have a p&t sport now which i love, i have had the e3 and i didn't like it as much. I prefer the adjustable handle as im only 4'11, the catch to hold it closed, the recline on the doubles kit, the raincover stays on, and the net at the back of the basket to keep the raincover in when out and about so it doesn't fill the entire basket.

If you can get over having your baby in the lower seat or main seat with toddler or top depending on age then the p&t is fantastic

wrong!! icandy pear tandem allows both seats to face the parent as well as the option of facing outwards, plus both seats can independantly recline. its a fantastic pushchair, and cant wait to get mine in a few weeks!

Don't forget to buy some decent inner tubes and always carry a pump and spare inner tube, then you'll be fine
