Pushchairs

Bugaboo Fox 2 or Uppababy Vista V2

I’m torn between these two pushchairs. Lifestyle wise, we live in a small hilly town so need something easy to push with reasonable suspension. We also walk on forest paths and parks with the dog (we are also looking at slings). Both pushchairs would fit in the boot of the car. We don’t use buses, we mostly walk or drive places.

Pros of the Uppababy is that the carrycot is rated for overnight sleeping, there is potential to add another seat as a stop gap if the need arises, larger shopping basket, and it is more robust than the Bugaboo.

Pros of the Bugaboo is that it is lighter, easier to manoeuvre, folds with the seat reversed, and is narrower so would fit into smaller places (lots of smaller shops in my town).

Does anyone have either of these peaks and what do you think of them? Are there any other pushchairs which I should be considering?

The vista folds with the seat on too.

Have you looked at the uppababy Cruz?
It’s like a mini vista, it’s just lighter and slightly smaller for those small shops. Doesn’t go into a double though

I’ve tried both. I’ve got the vista. I think the suspension was slightly better on the bugaboo, but I think they are really ugly, sorry. I love love love my vista, would really recommend.

We considered both but went for the vista, I thought it had more longevity. We drive or walk places too and it's so easy to collapse and get in the car and copes with gravelly forest paths too.
We also use the bassinet as our crib downstairs for daytime sleeping, on a Moses basket stand.

I love my fox!! And to be honest having a smaller pram is helpful in so many situations. Plus I wouldn't be influenced by the ability to add a second seat onto the vista- a couple of my friends bought it for this reason thinking they were being organised and thinking ahead when having their DC1s, but both bought different double buggies anyway when it came to having dc2 as they realised their requirements were different.

Oh and we used the bassinet on the fox on a Moses basket stand downstairs and I couldn't fault it- baby was very comfy and slept really well in it. Then had a next to me for upstairs/overnight.

Old thread now but what did you go for? Seem to have the same requirements as you and also torn between these two! I actually found the vista 2 easier to maneouvre though (particularly when it came to popping it up curbs etc).
