Off road pram

I'm looking for advice from anyone who has an off road pram/buggy.
We have the mothercare journey travel system which they said should fair relatively well off road when we bought it before our first baby arrived... I can assure you it does not! After a terrible attempt at a day out today where the terrain at a country fair type event was near impossible to push the pram around = screaming baby and us having to leave early, I'm determined to really do my research for the next pram.
Our baby is 4 weeks old, and we have a dog which means we do a lot of off road walking, so I'm after any advice on any prams to look at?

Look into Babyjoggers. I’ve got the city mini GT which is pretty good off-road but the Elite is meant to be even better.

For off-road waking though, I used a sling, then a baby backpack

Out n About is really good. I had the double and 2 dogs and could push it one handed.

We don't have a baby at present (DD is 6, not sure if we're having another). Our main buggy had large wheels - I think they took the smallest size of child's bike tyre, so about 12 inch diameter. It coped very well with the park, canal towpath, various local unpaved walks. If you get one with tyres, you'll need to buy & fit self-sealing inner tubes & a pump, though.

I have a Teutonia sprint. I think it's the S3 model. It I've had it for almost 6 years. Very robust 3 wheeler, great suspension and really easy to push.

That's true, BikeRunSki - we used the sling a lot too, especially in the first year.

Another vote for a Baby Jogger - we have the City Mini GT and are tough on it- I've yet to meet a terrain I can't comfortably push it over. I see loads of them whenever we go to country type events. We used the bassinet until DS was seven months but the buggy fully reclines so is suitable from birth.

The Phil and Ted's sport has served us very well in the countryside as well as in town. The only downside is that it's fairly heavy. For proper off-road activities I'd second the suggestion of a sling. We were very happy with the baby Bjorn one air, which has carried DD up several alpine and Welsh mountains.

We have the Baby jogger City Mini GT. It's fine on tracks but not over bumpy fields, for that you'd need something with bigger wheels. We looked at the proper off road ones but they are generally bigger so the trade off is that they are not small car boot and less going round town friendly. We decided to use a sling for field walks and got the more flexible buggy - how much walking over fields do you do?

We do a lot of off road walking, at least once a day! I'm quite clumsy and don't always trust myself with a sling just in case I fall so ideally an off road buggy would be a massive help!

We had a mountain buggy, we took it up mountains (literally), lifted it over walls and stiles and pushed through knee high heather. It was less flexible in town but fine.

Another for mountain buggy. The old ones from New Zealand were bomb proof and can be picked up 2nd hand on eBay/FB The newer ones are still fab though & I have yet to find a terrain to defeat me! There's an FB group that you can join to find out further info.
