two single strollers Vs one double stroller for holidays

Following on from a previous thread, where I asked about "cheapie" double strollers (www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pushchair_chat/3214638-Is-there-such-a-thing-as-a-cheapie-double-stroller-for-holidays?watched=1&msgid=76969327#76969327)

I'm shifting my focus now to whether we should take a double or just two single, as suggested by some mn posters.

These are my thoughts/queries:

Most of the twin groups I've found seem to have English base, I'll keep looking for more local regional ones.

Some thoughts and questions
re: taking two single strollers Vs one double stroller...................

Am trying to weight up the pros and cons of each option

Airport
We're allowed bring three pieces of hold luggage. Current thoughts are two suitcases and one backpack. So originally we were thinking one adult pushes double buggy with backpack on their back. Second adult pulls two suitcases.
Just wondering how that would work with two single strollers?

Going out for meals
Presumably it would be easier to "park" and find space etc for two singles, rather than a double?

Bringing stuff to pool/occasional daytime sleep
Bringing two singles would make it easier for one parent and child to go down early/come up early/go for a walk to go to sleep etc? However, if BOTH dc needed to go for a walk in the pram etc, then it would mean both parents would need to leave the pool??!!! Whereas if we had a double both dc could be put in it, and one parent could have a relax by the pool childfree

Is there anything I've missed? What would you consider the most important factors to consider?

(Don't know if it's relevant, but owing to dates we're due to be away, if I'm not in the early stages of pregnancy by then I'll be having AF, including nightmarish first 36 hours; extremely heavy flow, low energy, feeling unwell.)

Also,
RE: sunshades on a double stroller

I have one single black sunshade already for use on the existing "cheapie" stroller
(something like this
//www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stroller-Buggy-Pushchair-Sun-Sleep-Cover-Baby-Sun-Shade-Canopy-Sunshade-New-/160842140543)

Does anyone know if I could use two of these types of sunshades on a double stroller? (meaning I'd only have to buy one more single sunshade)
Or would I have to buy a double sunshade? (if that exists?)

Thanks!
