Icandy Orange vs Mountain Buggy Duet??

I've narrowed it down to the icandy orange and the mountain buggy duet - have realised that I cannot get the 'perfect' double but these are pretty good contenders.

Any views on these two? Or any others that you think might suit?

Ideally I wanted:
-lay flat seats not bucket seats
-option to parent face
-1 piece fold
-narrow so i can fit through doorways
-enough space so both are not squashed (this applies more to tandems)

Obviously the iCandy has some and not others and vice versa with the mountain buggy.

Oh also I wanted to ask any tandem owners about the recline ability... do both seats need to be reclined at the same time to maximise space or can you recline baby’s seat and leave toddler upright?

Is the icandy a tandem? They are a bugger to push with the wheelbase and one kid always gets the short straw seating wise.

Duet isn’t ideal either ... the bugaboo donkey has the reversible seats but it’s a giant beast and has a crap fold.

There really aren’t many good side by side doubles - I’m also looking at a TFK one and a valco but both I’ll have to order unseen from abroad ...

I can only speak for the mountain buggy duet but it was amazing!! I’m a buggy addict and have had 9 in total (2 kids) but the mountain buggy was by far my favourite. I didn’t use it from birth so don’t know what the carry cot was like but used from 4 months and the baby was fine in the lying back seats. It’s a dream to push and will fit in any door way apart from very tiny old ones. The only thing I would have changed was the tyres as they are bike tyres and every few months you might get a puncture. I have seen people replace the tyres for hard ones and in retrospect would have done this. We have had a lot of use out of ours and used it for long walks until the eldest was over 4, just so he could have the occasional rest. Would fully recommend. I remember posting about what double here and someone saying save yourself the hassle and get the mountain buggy now but I didn’t pay heed and went through two doubles (maclaren and Phil and teds) before realising the error of my ways 😀
