Upgrade Bugaboo Bee 3 or get a new pushchair

Advice needed! I have a Bugaboo Bee 3 with bassinet. Now that our baby is 6 months old, do I upgrade with the seat hardware etc for minimum £200? Or is there something out there it would be better to spend that money on (secondhand fine)...? Have seen Easywalker Mosey and iCandy Raspberry recommended.

Main criteria:

  • lightweight (we live in a flat with no lift)
  • must be rear and front facing
  • good for strolls in the park/occasional bumpy routes
  • easy to fold
  • mainly use public transport so compact is good

Any thoughts much appreciated!

I’ve got a bee3 - just the seat bit as used the newborn cocoon. I’m in London and find carrying it up and down the stairs really easy. I’m tiny as well, and never had any trouble. We don’t have a car so I’ve taken it on long train journeys all over the country and find it really great for getting on and off trains with stuff by myself. Currently debating buying a double because I’ve just had my second, but really love the bee so quite torn.

Thanks for that! Good to hear as I bought the seat parts in the end (all secondhand) and it’s great.
We were actually lucky to be given a Babyzen Yoyo as we are going to be doing some travelling - it’s so light and way easier to carry and open but still love the feel of the Bee 3. Much sturdier and nicer to handle on bumpy pavements and in the park. Can understand why you might be sad to part with yours!
