Hi all this is my first post so bare with me :-) i'm due my second baby in April 2018 iv been looking for strollers i have seen two i really like on Ebay one i'm swaying for a little bit more more the selling price is £439.38 it will be shipped from Hong Kong but i have noticed on the postage there is some information about import taxes and duties that may be charged by the UK, although it doesn't say how much this could be? i have tried to find some information online but nothing is really answering my question as there is a lot of conflicting information, i was wondering if anyone has been in this position when ordering pushchairs being shipped in and if anyone knows what the import duty/tax would be as i really need to work out the final cost so i can work out if i have the amount of funds needed. thanks in advance :-)

Tax duty here. But seriously I would not touch a buggy sent from Hong Kong, expensive postage, likely to be fake goods.

I cannot image how buying a buggy from hk would be cost effective.

The ones i have seen don't seem to be available in the UK only the US but they are like £200 more buying from a US store as to what they are selling on Ebay for all the reviews seem fine and the sellers have good feedback its just the issue with the duty/tax i'm thinking this would also apply even if buying from a US website too? :-/

If you buy from abroad, it probably won't meet the U.K. Safety standard laws. Which would mean that any insurance (car etc for the car seat) would be invalid if you had an accident and needed a new seat. Different countries have different safety standards. Not worth it. Safety first.

Car seats that you buy from outside of the EEA and Switzerland might not comply with EU standards, which would make them illegal to use.
