Looking for advice on Uppababy Vista 2015 please (and fit with 2017 bits!)

Hi,

So I'm looking for a first pushchair and have seen the 2015 Vista model is still available in some places, saving a nice packet vs. the 2017 model...

Generally I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has it and if you like it. In particular I'm likely to do a bit of walking -is it good off road I.e in parks, on cobbled streets etc?- and also if it's ok in the bus/train as I'll be travelling into London.
If anyone happens to know... would it fit in a 2 door polo? We don't have a stockist nearby so I'd buy online!

Has anyone got a 2015 model and added 2017 wheels or a rumble seat? I'd like a pushchair that would work for a second child but am conscious that if I buy an older model now, the equivalent rumble seat might not be available in two or three years time.

Thanks!

I've got a 2015. Ours is really well used and has been on all kinds of terrain without a worry. However, I wouldn't take it into London. Personally I'd use a sling or light pushchair if the child was old enough.

I'm not sure about a Polo. It fits into a golf because the wheels pop off but not sure how the boots compare.

Ah thank you. I was beginning to think no one had any comments :)
Hmmm I think a golf is bigger than a polo so if you need to take the wheels off I should probably check that out!

I can't imagine it fitting in a small boot to be honest. The frame is quite wide so that it's stabile as a tandem. But if it does, that would definitely be your boot taken up! And if you do get a second seat eventually, it does take up even more space.

But then I'd probably change my car for the love of the Vista! Grin

Thanks for your help! Update... I tried an Uppababy Vista in my polo boot today and it's much better than say, the silver cross pioneer. It fits fine with the wheels off and the seat bit separately, albeit there wouldn't be room for a suitcase or anything else! Love it...

I have this in London. It is amazing to push and the basket is huge. It is really big though so we also have a smaller more compact one for public transport. I definitely couldn't carry the Vista up stairs, etc

I would recommend really thinking about where you live and whether you're going to be walking or driving to places mainly. I love our Uppababy but we live within 10 minutes walk of a bunch of shops one way and another bunch 10 minutes the other way. I spent a lot of time on mat leave walking.

Latterly I changed my car so I have to pop off a wheel to get it in the boot. It's a pain, I have to say and the Uppababy is heavy if you're lifting it in and out of the boot all the time. Plus, not much room for shopping. The huge basket is brilliant and again, if you're just walking home, perfect. But if you're out with the car, you've got to unload all of that (and find somewhere to put it all before you can get the buggy and then the stuff in the car) before you can fold the buggy.

I think it should be ok. I live 15 mins walk into our town centre so will be doing lots of walking and usually go down paths/through the park to get there. I was thinking I'll just be going into London primarily to meet friends so can ask them to come to where the train arrives hopefully rather than getting on the tube too often.
At the moment I do all of my big food shopping online...but would otherwise need to drive to our local bug supermarket.
