Hi I'm expecting my second DC this autumn and am in the market for a new pushchair.
For my older DD who is nearly 4 I had a mothercare spin travel system which I didn't like (second hand and broke early on) and a cosatto umbrella fold stroller which is now pretty much only fit for the bin after a couple of years heavy use.

My criteria are:

  • a carrycot or newborn nest that's parent facing for the early months or a fairly cosy looking seat that can be turned parent facing at a minimum
  • fits a maxi cosi cabriofix car seat
  • compact - ideally I'd like something where the four wheels have a square footprint (like an umbrella fold stroller) rather than wider wheels at the back than the front IYSWIM
  • lightweight (

I'm not an expert by any means (No DC - yet - but very broody!), but have you looked at the Ickle Bubba Stomp? Never tried it but seems very good and reasonably-priced...

Baby jogger city mini and one of the baby jogger carrycots, there's a smaller one called "compact" and a slightly bigger one called "deluxe". There is a four wheel version but I think the two back wheels are set slightly wider than the front.

Personally I'd go for a bugaboo bee. It fits your criteria perfectly, and you can get one new for £550. I got second hand bee plus with cocoon, footmuff etc and it was in perfect condition so definitely worth considering second hand. My 4 year old can still fit in it comfortably if needed and it's lovely to push.

Don't get the iCandy Raspberry.

I've heard good things about the Armadillo Flip.

I was looking at the icandy raspberry last night and thought it looked quite good. What's the problem with it @ant?
Might have another look at the bugaboo bee. That's cheaper than I thought. Will need to check how much it is with all the bits
