Mamas and papas Sola 2

Hello,

Currently trying to find an affordable, parent facing, compact pushchair. The sola 2 is currently top of the list. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with this pushchair? Trying to work out why it seems to be over looked when it's pretty highly rated on which and so much cheaper than the other options??

We had an original Sola and loved it! It got us through two babies until the wheels started to fall off. I'm not sure there's much difference between the new and old models. But I'd def buy another one if we had a third.

Can't comment on the Sola 2 but I Iiterally adored my Sola! It survived both kids and was perfect for what I wanted. I've had a few pushchairs in between but always came back to this. Love all Mama and Papas pushchairs!

I have the sola 2, got it on one of their offers so a bundle with car seat etc for £550 which was definitely a bargain. Used it for 7 months now and my biggest issue is that it is massive in my boot! I have a fiesta and I have to stand it up sideways and take the back wheels off to shut the boot. Easily done as they remove just with a button but is just a hassle!
DD outgrew the carrycot by 2-3 months if she was in a Pramsuit type thing but the seat itself goes flat enough by then.
I also don't like that to collapse it the seat has to be forward facing, we use it parent facing, so again it's just a minor hassle having to turn it round!
I find the hood is also a bit useless, it is either down, up a tiny bit which does nothing, or completely blocking the baby looking out at all (may be normal for all prams I haven't checked!). Then when the seat is reclined it reaches half way (so as in a straight line up from the centre of the pushchair) which never gives any shade.

However it's very sturdy, the basket is reasonably sized and DD seems comfortable enough in there. The issues aren't big enough that I'd consider getting a different one, but they're small things that I would have never thought about before buying
