Baby Joggers vs Jane Trider

I could really use some advice. I am due in October with my second baby. DS is 4 with possible ASD/ADHD so very active and we need to be outside a lot. I currently have an original Cosatto Giggle from DS - I don't think it's going to cut the mustard for all the woodland/field walks we do.

So I am looking at other brands which are more outdoorsy but fold up small. We have a tiny house and a smallish car boot (2003 Mercedes A Class).

I'm contemplating a Baby Jogger City Mini GT vs. Baby Jogger City Elite vs. Jane Trider. Will be buying second hand so unlikely to be the latest model!

Which would be the best in terms of compromise on small fold vs. coping outdoors? And am I missing any great brands? Needs to be suitable from birth.

Thank you will take a look! Only 5'4" and DH 5'8" so probably fit into the 'not too tall' bracket

You might get on with a swift then, it's the smallest fold

We have the Babyjogger City Mini GT. The fold is great, really quick. I have to take one of the wheels off to fit it in lying flat in the boot of my Corsa but they are quick release so it's no trouble. It's good for rough country roads and woodland tracks but isn't off road enough for fields. We looked at the Elite but it is much bigger and would actually be a but on the big side to use around town.

If you fancy parent facing you could look at the Baby jogger Versa GT. We have the normal Versa and although it is a 2 step fold it still fits flat on the boot of the Corsa, again with the wheel off. 4 wheels are definitely less manoeurable but more stable than 3, and the baskets are much bigger to pile coats, change bag etc in.

Oh and the Versa GT isn't itself suitable from birth but all you need to make it suitable is to buy the Silver cross wedge, lots going on ebay.

This is really helpful thank you! I think I need to measure the boot of the car again to see what can fit. I'm a bit worried about the mini GT not being able to cope with fields.

The Babyjogger GT is ok on paths in the dry on fields but not in the mud and not off the paths, so depends what you mean by fields. We use a sling on fields, so it's not an issue for us - would that be something you would consider? My almost 2.5 year old darts around so a pushchair would be useless anyway with trying to follow him, even a proper off road one with huge wheels wouldn't be fast and manoeuvrable enough. The other one I've just remembered that we looked at was the Out N About Nipper, which is quite a bit cheaper.

Aaahhh I don't think the GT would be enough in that case - our original Cosatto can handle that.

Yes I am definitely planning on using a sling!
