Help please- broken wire of bugaboo bee hood!

So I am about to have dc3 (in Labour now actually!) anyway... I bought a bugaboo bee plus from a friend and deep cleaned it. It has come up brilliantly except I managed to break the plastic rod of the hood in the washing machine (not the metal ones, I took them out, but the thin plastic one, which seems to have wriggled out of a hole in the canopy). I can find plenty of metal replacement rods, but no replacements of the plastic one. Any ideas anyone?
