Is the Bugaboo Buffalo really that bulky?

Hi everyone, I'm currently 16 weeks with DC3 and really liked the buffalo when viewing it in mothercare yesterday. I also viewed the vista and didn't think the buffalo was much bigger but have seen lots of reviews saying the buffalo is a tank. I drive a car with a large boot so the folded size doesn't bother me but it does worry me that the buffalo may be too heavy to get out of the car on my own. Has anybody got any experience of the buffalo and how it has worked out for everyday use?
Trying to decide whether to go with my heart or my head at the minute
