Side by side double buggy

Hi there, I need a side by side double buggy for my son (13 months) and my nephew (10 months) for the family and our nanny. I want one that is robust but as lightweight and narrow as possible so she can get them out and about on public transport. Any recommendations?

I'd also love to know how people manage double buggys on escalators?! Is it safe? Thanks!

I had an OutNAbout Nipper 360 a few years ago. At the time we had no car but we went on the tube regularly, you just hold the back on escalators and lift the front wheel up, we also travelled loads by bus in London. It was so easy - people often help and the buggy itself was light and robust. We took it on holiday to Barbados, France and South Africa.

Mountain buggy duet - easy to steer, lightweight, only 63cm wide so fits almost everywhere a single buggy would fit.

I had an out'n'about 360 nipper when I was a childminder. Easiest buggy I ever had to push, even laden with heavy 3 yr olds and shopping. Will go over uneven terrain easily and fits on the bus too. Quick release for the front wheel to make fitting it in the car is handy as well.
