Hi
First post here...
I'm due my first baby in feb 17...me and my husband plan (if all being well) on having DC2 within a close ish time period. So, for instance, DC1 could be about 15/18 months when we expect DC2...
We were looking at the Duellette 21 BS... But it is only advised you use a car seat for newborns until they are 6 months old with this pram.
Now the time has come to purchase, I think I want to have a pram that you can use the carrycot from birth, and not just a car seat!
We are just trying to save on having to buy twice in the future, when we know now we want two children fairly close.
Hope this makes sense!
Any help would be massively appreciated xx

A car seat shouldn't be used more than 30 mins with a newborn so not that helpful. Usually you can just use main seat though from newborn without having to buy carrycot

FYI, we have a 15 month gap and never used a double pram. Just a single, sling, buggy board or elder walking

JUst had a look and that pram looks huge in single mode!

Thank you so much for your reply Artandco!
I would hope that we could maybe get away with the sling/ board option too, but guess that's something only time will tell with the baby!
So many options and mixed reviews for everything you look at!
Th pants again for your reply :)

I've got a Joolz Geo that I have as a mono at the minute but it has the open to add an extra carry cot to make it a double.

This is where you will get lots of different advice....!!!

My two were 3 1/4 years apart and I used a double buggy for quite some time - others say they don't need them, some prefer slings....

I'll be honest I bought 4 buggies,

  1. Travel system single (was big and heavy to use, but comfy for baby)
  2. Stroller (used loads)
  3. Big double for walking with both kids
  4. Double stroller for shopping/ holidays

My sling was used two maybe 3 times....

Thank you for your replies...
Just in case anybody follows this post for advice, we went to mothercare last night as I don't think my husband could cope with pram gate for one more day!
We have bought the mothercare genie...it seems really user friendly!
I guess we can't predict what our babies will be like in terms of boards/ slings etc but we think we have got a good deal. Got a free car seat in the 'black Friday' deal too. £469 for the pram, with the second seat & adapters with the maxi cosi car seat. I think they often do deals with the car seat thrown is as a freebie though!
Many thanks for the replies again 💐 x
