does this double pram exist?

My first pregnancy andits twins. Confused I need a double buggy that goes from birth to however big you need a buggy for, is sturdy, can face parent or out, and which folds down small enough to get into a ford focus boot. Does such a thing exist? If so what types should i be looking for? Budget about £500-£600 we think. I like the look of the abc zoom as they can face each other as well but don't know it is any good.

The zoom is huge. I'd hate to push that with older toddlers in. Given your boot size look into the baby jogger city mini, or mini gt. With carrycots for parent facing then forward facing from then on. It's light to push, not huge, and everyone I've known who has twins or two close together has had one and loved it.

another thought, if you wanted something more compact leaving some boot space free I recently saw a cosatto stroller called to and fro. It faces both parent and world. Folds like a stroller.

Mountain buggy or city mini double

Mountain buggy duet. Parent faces with new carrycot conversion seat. Narrowest side by side at 63cm wide ( same as some singles). Doesn't fold tiny but folds small enough

The Zoom is good, but its big folded and I would question if it was practical. I would probably look at an iCandy Peach Blossom 3 (or 2 with the new adaptors) which will parent or forward face. The fold will be neater for your car and it will do what you want.
The Egg stroller fold size is similar, but the seats dont parent face.

I doubt you will get a Duet in your boot. It barely fitted in my large boot.
The Bugaboo Donkey is neat for a small boot, but converting it each time to a double will be a complete pain!

The Joolz Geo may be worth a look. Again it doesn't do what you want re parent facing, but its a neat and tidy fold.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. The icandy and bugaboo are way over budget even secondhand. I think we are going to go for the babystyle oyster max as it definitely fits in our car 😃

I have an uppababy vista 2015, it fits in the boot of my focus. Its £700, but we got it for £560 as the ctalogue company were doing 20% off first order

we had one called mamakiddies. the pushchair only faced forwards but the car seats went on it which faced you or you could lay it flat and have them in it looking up at you. not sure of the size regarding ur car but we did tons of research and really wanted a bugaboo but could not afford it. this one did us proud and we are about to sell it as it looks practically as new so clearly hard wearing!

Have you seen the jane twone? The carrycots are car seats that lay flat ( but also upright). With twins you would have to use upright as the lay flat takes over two back seats. But means you would then only have the frame in boot at carrycot stage as would life carrycots off and convert to the car seats. The main seats later fit quite compact I think

Main pram about £500. More if you add the lie flat car seat carrycots

This pram is a really good price at the moment if you want both parent facing. It fold quite small in pictures

The Oyster is a bit squished in the bottom seat, when we tried it for dc2 I was worried about dd being decapitated in one of the settings! Try and borrow a toddler if you can, it's hard to imagine them in it but they'll be toddlers much longer than tiny newborns.

The Jane Twone is lovely, I wanted to buy it but we couldn't justify a brand new pushchair for dc2.

A lot of double umbrella strollers lie flat enough to be suitable from birth - though I appreciate that you may not want to go wide rather than tall for a double buggy.

I've got a Vista. No idea if it'll fit in your boot, but it's good for twins. I liked the Oyster but felt that one would be squashed, and the shopping basket isn't very big. I liked the look of the Joolz Geo too.

The Oyster Max lower seat is fine for a bigger toddler.
The Stroll-Air My Duo is awesome but I bet it doesn't fit in a Fiesta boot! It barely fitted in my bigger boot.
I would think if the Oyster Max fits in the car, that a Vista would.

I always had a double umbrella fold buggy for the car boot with shopping nets on the back.

When they no longer need to lie flat, it is really useful as you will end up putting twins in a buggy quite a lot. If you had a single baby, you would just pick it up and carry it, but you can't really do this with twins. The buggy needs to be light weight and easy to use.

I would get this in addition to a proper pushchair/pram.

Another vote for city mini. I know one pushchair which has gone round 3 sets of twins (via their local twins club)

Also if you have a twins club, most are very happy for you to pop along whilst still pregnant. Great place to try a range of pushchairs in real life, to hear what people bought and what they wished they had bought!

Neon don't rule out a second hand iCandy or Bugaboo!! I was looking at them on eBay for when dc2 arrives, and all the ones I found still seemed way over budget. But then I came across a peach 2 with all the right adapters and doubles kit for £375 Shock I bought it straight away and have been using it as a single for my 15 month old, but have all the doubles kit ready and waiting upstairs - it's in amazing condition considering it was second hand and used for twins!. A Peach blossom 3 was priced up for us by a lady in a shop and for all the stuff we would need, it was coming out at £1200 Shock so finding that little gem for £375 was well worth all the eBay trawling!
