Another double buggy thread......

I am due number 2 in 3 months by which time DS will be 19 months.

We have a baby jogger city mini GT which is a great buggy (with a few niggles) and will need to get a double.

I have been considering the iCandy Peach Blossom tandem, the Uppababy Vista Tandem as we live somewhere with quite narrow pavements - I am looking to get second hand. Has anyone got any view on these? Any good? Assume I will only need it for about a year-ish and then just move to a buggy board. I have also been considering the double version of the city mini but that is a side by side and only world facing but a dream to push and collapse/put up with two of them. I just worried I won't get through any doorways!

Any advice/experience would be appreciated.

What about a Mountain buggy duet - it's a side by side but as narrow as some tandems/single buggies. I think you can have one side parent facing when they are under 6 months. I think with a small age gap a side by side gives you more options when it comes to naps etc.

If you want a tandem, the Uppababy Vista 2015 version would be my pick - but it's expensive (there aren't many second hand as it's so new). Earlier version is not a great double as the second seat isn't a proper seat, no recline etc.

The new joey seat for the mountain buggy duet means you can have parent facing till 15kg.

I own a peach blossom for my two and i would recommend it, DS is nearly 15kg at 2 years old and still fits in the seat unit comfortably, DD is due to come out of the carry cot next month and it is still roomy for her.
