doubles - p&t, city select, out n about?

It's all too much for me. Trying to decide on a double. We do a lot of walking outdoors, off road and school run too. We have an out n about nipper now and love it. Was going to get the double but I'm having a wobble that it is going to be impractical due to its width. Are Phil and teds any good? Or the baby jogger city select? Especially for rough terrain.

Hi,

i have had both a city select and a P&T and my friend had the Out & About double. Of all of them i would recommend the City Select. I hated with a passion my P&T. It is good over rough terrian but the one up, one down set up is a ball ache. It was very much the ground breaking double in its time but i think the City Select and others have taken the idea and surpassed it.

The City Select was a dream to push fully loaded with two or with just one. I have pushed it with a baby and a toddler across the sands at West Wittering with no problems. THe tyres go anywhere and as they are foam filled, never puncture. THe seating is adaptable so you can have 1 or tow kids on board and the handle adjusts for both tall adults and kids on buggy boards on the back.

I sold my city select when my middle daughter was 3 and wanted to walk everywhere. i have regretted it ever since.

It does take up a bot of boot space though. The frame itself is fine and compact but the seats are bulky to transport.

the out and about seemed ok. My friend thought it was servicable but she did get punctures all the time. i did on the P&T as well.

Thank you. I caved and bought the nipper but I will keep the select in mind if I don't get on with it.

I had a P&T for my older two, and then got a Nipper for my twins. Both are great buggies. The nipper is fab but I do find side by sides a bit of a pain (I live in a city) so am thinking of reverting to my P&T now my twins are bigger and don't need to lie flat.
