Cheapest place to buy Cybex products

Hi All,

First post here but used the info on this site for a long time and found it really helpful so thank you to everyone!

We are looking to buy a Cybex Priam (the wheels), a Cloud Q Plus seat and the associated ISO fix base. Everywhere we've looked have all been the same price, so we started looking at what cashback we could get via TopCashBack and Quidco etc. We can get 8% cashback if we buy from Mothercare but I'm wondering if anyone knows of any bigger discounts before I take the plunge and put the order through.

There is a baby show in Sandown Park in September which we have (free) tickets to go to and in their leaflet they said they will have the best prices on prams guaranteed. I found out that a shop called Baby Planet will be the only ones selling Cybex at that show and I contacted them to find out if they could give me any idea on a price but they remained tight lipped and said "Unfortunately we can not give prices out pre show, but we will guarantee to be the best price around. I do know that our Baby show team have been working exclusively with Cybex UK to ensure we bring the best ever offer to the show."

The problem is, their order times are "between 2-6 weeks depending" - depending on what, I do not know! 6 weeks from the show date is cutting it quite close to the due date, so based on the fact we don't know what discounts they can offer, and their delivery dates, we are sort of overlooking Baby Planet.

Any advice would be gratefully received :-) Thank you!

Have you tried looking at any German website that will import?
I've been looking at a Cybex q2 car seat for DD and the cheapest site is www.kidsroom.de. That's even with shipping.

Wow! They are cheap! They don't sell the Priam wheels but I've just emailed them!

I'm not sure if we have to pay any import duty or tax though? I've quickly googled it and it appears as though we don't have to as long as we pay the German VAT (which that site includes).

i bought my cybex car seats from babyroom.de in the european union so if you pay local tax no import duty, also recently bought pram from babyhuiscasita in holland. Both efficient and helpful. Only thing i would advise is exchange rates on uk cards/bank accounts/paypal can vary so watch how you purchase as it can wipe out part of your saving.

Thank you everyone. We bit the bullet and ordered it from Mothercare in the end. Two reasons for this. 1. I couldn't find anyone who would sell me the priam (frame plus wheel). One site said they don't stock it, another stocked it but wouldn't ship it out of their country due to manufacturer restrictions apparently! And the 2nd reason for ordering here and not from Europe is that once you've added delivery (which isn't loads but it's still a cost) and converted the price from euros to GBP it worked out at £78 cheaper for the wheels (which we seemingly couldn't buy) and £43 cheaper for the car seat and the ISO base. And as my wife said, if we get any problems with it and need to return it it will be a nightmare!

Managed to get 5.05% cash back through topcashback though so that's £38 ish! The priam and ISO base arrived this week. The cloud q plus car seat must be made to order or something as we haven't had that yet.

Don't you need an actually pram not just car seat and wheels? The cloud q isn't a replacement for an actual flat pram

The cloud Q goes flat, hence why we are so keen to have it! a "Pram" is a waste of money and bulky. The priam wheels and cloud q plus is the perfect travel system!

My daughter bought one of these last October cost over a £1000
She is expecting another child and has to pay out all over again as these do not have any spares for extra seats therefore she is selling hers for £700 if anyone is interested still in vgc

Hey there, curious as to how you got on without investing in a pram. I am interested in the Cybex range too. Thanks
