Uppababy Vista plus rumble seat?

Is anyone using one? (Not the new 2015 model)

I'll have a newborn soon with a 20 month age gap. I hope to continue to walk a lot and use buses (never had to fold my pram up yet so not too concerned about the extra length).

Is anyone using a Vista with a rumble seat? Is it a viable option?

Thanks Smile

Used mine for about a year while DS1 still needed to nap during the day (and we would often go out all day; usually on foot all day). Worked a treat for us. I always did face to face. Didn't use it with the bassinet (can't remember if that even works); used to have DS2 on my chest when he was too little to go in the seat. We didn't have a car seat on the uppababy, tho that fits with the rumble seat (we were always out too long; wouldn't have been good for DS2 to be in car seat so long).

Re the extra length, it takes only seconds to take the rumble seat off, and it fits under the buggy easily. i used to leave it off to encourage DS1 to walk, then put it on when he got tired (bigger age gap tho).

Mayfair - great tip about taking the seat off.

We'll also get the snug seat so baby can go in the seat with that, and will also have a suitable sling.

DD only currently sleeps for an hour so could do some switching around and slinging.

I expect the bassinet will be used more as a safe place for baby to lie in at home than out and about.

We're thinking of doing the same although our age gap is a bit bigger. Does the snug seat mean the baby can go in from under 6 months?

Watching... I have the vista and will also have a 20 month age gap. I'm worried the seat plus the snug insert won't be comfortable enough for the newborn. I started a similar thread and was advised to sell the uppababy and buy a double. I'm reluctant to do this as I love my vista!

I believe so brimful. DD was it it for short trips from 15 weeks but she was very big and strong.

I will ignore any suggestions to sell. I love my Vista and haven't seen anything that compares Smile
