Help! Phil & Teds sport

I have been given a Phil & Teds sport, is that the same as a classic?! One rear wheel has been replaced so one is smaller than the other, plus the small one seems slightly misaligned or warped. Possibly because of this the brake keeps pinging on as I walk around. Unfortunately both rear wheels won't come off so I can't fix/replace the dodgy wheel. Any ideas?! Am not sure how old it is or what it's worth so not sure how much time/effort/money to put into repairing it. DC 2 due in 5 weeks! Thanks in advance

Are you sure the rear wheels don't come off... How did the previous owner replace one? I have an ancient p&t in the garden store.. I think it's an e3... and the wheels definitely come off that. I know there were changes though so possibly less removable bits was among those changes

On the plus side it looks like there footrest clearance off the front wheel is still fine. It will be quite old, is the fabric nice enough still that you would want to out a newborn in?

I beleive the rear wheels SHOULD come off, if you push the silver centre of each wheel in, but I do this and nothing releases. Have seen a youtube film of someone complaining this is a common problem, and people replied with descriptions about forcing the wheel off with a screwdriver to release a mechanism within but I don't fully understand. The fabric is aged but I expect to buy a new cocoon or liner/sleeping bag for the new baby and have my own buggysnuggle for DS, so I'd be happy to keep it if I can get it up and running.

Yes I tried WD40, though I haven't really forced it through fear I'm doing it wrong. Should I just ask DP to yank it with the silver "button" depressed?

Thanks for your advice. I have looked on Facebook and sent join requests to 3 phil & teds groups on Saturday but not yet accepted/able to post hence resorting to youtube films!

Thank you Dixie. Have now posted on "phil and teds swap sales & spare parts" but any advice is VERY welcome.

I have a sport (in the garage ATM or I'd go look at it) but the rear wheels definitely come off. I would be tempted to yank as in general I find my sport quite stiff and requiring manhandling. On the plus side it's indestructible.

the bearings are probably rusted which would stop the wheel from releasing. Maybe try and flood the attachment point with WD40 or similar.

The wheel sizing for the sport/explorer and navigator are all exactly the same over the years so i think whoever replaced the wheel might have used one that is simply the wrong size.

The facebook groups are great for phil and teds buggies. Hope you are approved asap.

you can get some spray vinyl to redo the fabrics if you want. Brings them up like new and makes them nice and waterproof too. It is about £10 on amazon. Would also suggest you get the plastic foot well as once your toddler starts getting in and out of the buggy the fabric footwell gets really grubby quickly.

I thought the sport was older than the e3?
