Was all set to buy the micralite twofold but now can use an oyster max for the days when I still need a double.
Sooo I just need a single that
will off-road
has a big basket,
will take a buggy board
and is under £200.
Was thinking of Mutsy or baby trend expedition.

Also a single to fit in the back of a peugeot 5008 when all 7 seats are up. It needs to be long and thin folded I think, my Zapp won't fit.
It also needs to have good storage, this will be for long days out so needs to carry all our crap!

I have a zafira and have worked my way through a lot of buggies, trying to find one that would fit.

Here is my list of the ones that do fit:

P&T Sport - will fit with two wheels removed
P&T Vibe - a slightly better fit but still need to remove 2 wheels
Maclaren - quest and triumph...techno xt was too big.
Micralite - had to remove one wheel

Thanks for that Hiccup was thinking of maybe a Maclaren although I am not keen on umbrella strollers that would be the best and cheapest option.

DS3 is 2 next month so will only need them for 12 monthsish, not long enough to spend £££ but too long to keep pushing the double BJCM or having the Zapp topple over everytime he gets out because of all the stuff piled on it!

I would recommend a P&T. Plenty of room for a two year old and loads of stuff!! Also, the older ones (especially without the extra seat) go for very little, secondhand.

Are all P+T much of a muchness or are some better than others?

The double baby jogger city mini fits in our zafira with 7 seats up. It's was £400 so maybe the single would come in on budget?!

Yes, the only one I wouldn't recommend is the Verve or Hammerhead because they both have two wheels at the front which would be more hassle when having to remove wheels...although, they do pop on and off quite easily :)

Thanks Slebmum we have the double BJCM at the moment but it doesn't fit in the boot even with all the wheels off.
There is hardly any space when 7 seats are up, it is a PITA.

Will have a look round for P+T, seem to have missed some good offers on a classic annoyingly.

Hi,

I have a 5008, and can fit a Maclaren Quest in the boot with the rear seats up. I used to have a Maclaren Techno XT and that fitted too, but you had to give the boot a good push to shut it (if you just let the door fall under it's own weight it would not shut properly).

I agree that the boot space with all the seats up is rubbish (a friend has a 2003-2009 Grand Scenic and you can fit two Maclarens and a load of bags in there behind the rear seats), but on the other hand I think it has more legroom for the rear seat passengers. I had a look in the window of a current model Grand Scenic the other day and with the boot seats up it looked like you would have to slide the middle row forward even to fit children in the boot seats. My kids are fine in our car without sliding the middle row seats forward.

Thanks AliceMum that is great info. It is a company car that has to be Peugeot which is a bit annoying really.
While it had some work done recently we were given a Seat Alhambra (sp) that was brilliant space wise we could fit the BJCM double in the boot easily.
